Week 2 Thursday Night DraftKings Six-Player DFS Lineup: Austin Ekeler, Romeo Doubs Help Surround High-Priced Players

Morgan puts together a DFS lineup for the Thursday game between the Packers and Commanders.

After putting together fantasy football outlooks for the Green Bay Packers and Washington Commanders, I wanted to try my hand at another DFS lineup.

This DFS content only includes tonight's game, and has six starting spots, a captain (who earns 1.5 times as many points, but also costs that much more) and five flex spots.

Captain - Austin Ekeler ($10,200)

There's not a single player that I love in this matchup tonight, so I took a gamble with Ekeler as my captain.

He got nine touches in week 1, going for 57 total yards. Ekeler had six rushing attempts and three receptions.

Green Bay was stout against running backs in week 1, but Jahmyr Gibbs was a big PPR asset. I'm hoping the PPR threat in Ekeler can surprise with a handful of catches tonight - a score would really put this DFS team in good shape.

Flex - Jayden Daniels ($11,000)

By taking a bit cheaper option at captain, I can afford both quarterbacks. Daniels is one of the top dual-threat fantasy QBs in the league, so getting him in my lineup was a no-brainer.

He was good against the Giants in week 1, throwing for 233 yards and a score and rushing for 68 more yards. Most importantly, he avoided any turnovers.

The test against the Packers' defense will be much stiffer, but there's not many times Daniels flops because of his dual-threat ability. As long as he doesn't lose any TDs to guys I don't have in my lineup, I'll be happy with this selection.

Flex - Jordan Love ($10,000)

I decided to add Love to my lineup as well. He had 188 passing yards and two scores in week 1, while rushing for four yards and not turning the ball over.

The matchup is fine, and I wouldn't base things on how many yards Washington allowed in week 1, because the Giants' offense is nowhere near the Packers' unit.

I see Love enjoying another solid fantasy day, and as long as he doesn't lose touchdowns to Josh Jacobs on the ground, this will be another good DFS pick.

Flex - Zach Ertz ($5,800)

Ertz was a way for me to start saving a little money for one final big splash player.

Ertz scored in week 1, but only had 26 yards on three receptions. He was targeted five times and played the third-most snaps of any Washington pass catcher.

Green Bay's defense was really good in week 1, but they did allow TE Sam LaPorta to have a big game. That's why I like grabbing Ertz, and as a cheaper option, there's a chance for some bang for my buck here.

Flex - Romeo Doubs ($4,000)

Doubs is another cost-cutting option here.

He was targeted four times in week 1, making just two grabs. Doubs went for 68 yards though, and he also got two red zone looks.

Another big play will make this pick worth it. I already think he's the No. 2 pass-catching option. I have Matthew Golden as the top option, as I see Jayden Reed not being too involved as he nurses a foot injury.

If Doubs ends up scoring big, this DFS lineup should be in the money.

Flex - Terry McLaurin ($9,000)

My final big splash is McLaurin, who is coming off a down week 1 performance.

He was targeted four times as well, making just two grabs for 27 yards though. It was Deebo Samuel Sr. who ended up leading the team's pass catchers, but I think McLaurin regains that top role on Thursday night.

His value is a bit down, so it's a chance to start him for cheaper. Expecting a bounceback performance, I love this pick to round things out.

Final Thoughts

I was a fan of both my DFS lineups last week and ended up in the money for each contest. This is another lineup that I'm feeling really good about.

You have a ton of points coming with Daniels and Love already, so that already sets you up for success.

McLaurin is probably the best fantasy asset after the QBs, so to also get him in my lineup feels like a big win.

Then it all comes down to the production of Ekeler, Ertz and Doubs. I need Ekeler to be involved and steal a touchdown, or rack up a bunch of catches. The matchup points toward that happening, so it made sense to have him as the captain.

We'll see how things turn out, but on paper, I'm liking this DFS lineup.
