Keke Coutee's fantasy value moving forward
Keke Coutee has a break-out week in Week 4 totaling 11 catches for 109 yards on 15 targets. With wide-out Will Fuller hit with the injury bug yet again, the Houston Texans turned to Keke to help shoulder the load.
Make no mistake about it, Keke will be a player you want to roster now and should be a waiver priority across all fantasy leagues. He lead the team in targets with 15.
In fact, that is the season-high for the Texans across ALL receivers, including DeAndre Hopkins. Now that is something that cannot be ignored.
The short-term value of Keke is very high with the injury to Will Fuller and him playing next week in doubt.
“I mean we’ll see how it goes this week,” O’Brien said. “We just have to manage it and see where it’s at. In a game like that if I thought he could have gone and done the things we needed him to do, I would have played him obviously.”
Look for Keke to have WR2 upside against a tough Cowboys secondary, who rank 7th hardest against WR.
Long term, Coutee should be involved in the passing game even if their receivers are all healthy and at full strength. When Fuller is at a 100%, think of Coutee more like a borderline WR2 or WR3 with a lot of upside.
With the emergence of Coutee, this obviously helps out Deshaun Watson who should continue to pick up solid numbers for the rest of the season.
