We just went over some fantasy basketball waiver wire/streaming options, so now it's time to look into some drop candidates.

Drops can be found daily on the FantasySP waiver trends most dropped tab, which can be found on any fantasy basketball page on the site.

I have several names to discuss, so let's jump right into things!

Explore the best in-season tool to manage lineup/start decisions including waiver pickups, projections, trade suggestions, trade value charts, rest of season rankings, power rankings, and tons more with Fantasy Assistant. Use our fantasy basketball trade analyzer and the Trade Value Chart to break down trade scenarios.

Russell Westbrook - Sacramento Kings

Westbrook is rostered in about 85% of fantasy leagues right now. He's down 5.2% so far today.

Westbrook has a foot injury that he's dealing with, and there's no timetable for his return. With the season winding down quickly, that makes Westbrook a droppable fantasy player.

It's a shame, because he's averaged 15.2 points, 6.7 assists, 5.4 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 0.2 blocks per game this season. He's not worth rostering if he isn't playing though, and with no timetable to return, dropping him makes a lot of sense.

Drop Westbrook in standard leagues, especially if you see a waiver wire/streaming option you like out there. The same could be said in deeper leagues if Westbrook misses much more time.

Bobby Portis - Milwaukee Bucks

Portis is down 4.6% so far today, which brings his overall mark to 73%.

Portis has a wrist injury that has him day to day. He didn't play in the Bucks' game on Wednesday, and he's only played once over the past three contests.

He's productive when on the court, but his minutes have dropped in his past two appearances. Some of that is injury related, but coming off the bench leads to inconsistent minutes at times.

That makes him droppable, especially if he remains out. Portis is worth streaming if he gets back on the court, but expect him to keep being dropped if he continues to sit.

Trae Young - Washington Wizards

Young is owned in about 91% of fantasy leagues at the moment. He is down 2.8%.

Young hasn't played a ton since being traded to Washington. He is out with a quad injury and there's no timetable for his return. That makes Young droppable.

His fantasy season was really disappointing, and he is a draft bust after only getting in 15 games. The fantasy owners who rostered him haven't gotten much help this season, and I'd cut bait now and use the waiver wire with that roster spot instead down the stretch.

Jalen Suggs - Orlando Magic

Suggs is owned in 97% of leagues, which is down 2.4%.

He recently missed two games, but returned for the last Magic contest. Suggs had just eight points, four rebounds and a block over 34 minutes.

Suggs has struggled of late, failing to reach double figures in three of the past five games now. He's not a must-drop player, but in shallower leagues, he could be.

Assess the waiver wire and see if anyone is outperforming Suggs. If you find someone you like, then I'm fine with dropping Suggs.

John Collins - Los Angeles Clippers

Collins has been let go in 2.2% of leagues, bringing his overall mark down to 81%.

He also recently missed a game, but Collins played in the last one for the Clippers. He failed to score, while adding five rebounds and one steal over 22 minutes.

That's obviously not great fantasy production, so that makes Collins droppable. He's not a must-own fantasy asset anyways, which should make it easier to drop Collins.

Collins is capable of producing more, so don't write him off for good, and be ready to add him back if he bounces back soon.

Ayo Dosunmu - Minnesota Timberwolves

Dosunmu is rostered in 76% of leagues, which is down 2.2% as well.

Dosunmu has a calf injury that kept him out of the last T-Wolves game. It comes at a bad time, as he's been in a good groove, scoring in double figures in seven straight.

In those seven contests, Dosunmu averaged 17 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.3 blocks over 30.7 minutes a night. That's good fantasy production, so it hurts to drop him now.

If he's not playing though, there's no use in rostering him any longer. This is another situation where the player is droppable if he stays out, but is worth watching for when he's cleared to play again.

He's worth fantasy utilization in a ton of leagues, so let the playing status determine how you approach Dosunmu.

Cameron Johnson - Denver Nuggets

Johnson is also down 2.2% and he sits at 75% overall now.

There's no injury to report here, so fantasy owners just don't like the numbers that Johnson is delivering of late. He's scored in double figures in three straight, but went from 19 points to 14, and only had 12 in his last appearance.

Johnson only has six rebounds, eight assists, three steals and two blocks in those contests combined. So really, Johnson is doing most of his fantasy damage with his scoring, and with less of that of late, it makes him droppable.

Johnson is still one to consider in standard leagues, but he's definitely a better deep-league asset. He's droppable if you like another player on the waiver wire more, but also be watching Johnson as he could be worth picking back up if he picks his production back up.
