Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire: Top Adds to Start the Week
A new week brings fresh opportunities—here are the top waiver wire adds and streaming options to target now.
Let's go over some of the top fantasy basketball waiver wire options at the start of a new week.
Here's a story on weekly projections and waiver wire/streaming options, plus Monday's streaming article.
Waiver wire options can be found all season on FantasySP!
Elijah Harkless: Trending Up with Bigger Role
Harkless is rostered in 8% of fantasy leagues right now. He was around 2% just a couple days ago.
Harkless has played more of late for Utah, which is dealing with a multitude of injuries. He has scored in double figures in four of the past five contests, missing by two points in the other contest.
He's averaging 13.8 points, 4.8 assists, 3.4 rebounds, 2 steals and 0.4 blocks over 32 minutes in that stretch. There's enough there to add/utilize Harkless in more leagues.
I'd be happy to add him in a bunch of deeper leagues today. With several Utah players out, Harkless has a chance to keep delivering, and if he does, he could eventually sneak into some standard leagues.
Daniss Jenkins: Delivering More of Late
Jenkins is owned in about 64% of leagues - he's up 2% so far today.
Cade Cunningham is among the Pistons on the injury report now, and Jenkins' fantasy outlook is up as a result. He had three pretty solid performances over the past week.
Jenkins combined for 46 points, 20 assists, 11 rebounds, three steals and two blocks, while averaging 31 minutes per contest. There's enough there for a good amount of fantasy usage.
For as long as Cunningham is out, Jenkins could be streamed in fantasy leagues. I think he should be held in deeper leagues, then streamed in some standard leagues.
Ace Bailey: Late-Season Surge
Bailey is rostered in about 84% of leagues. He was around 57% on March 18, so it's been a fast and steady climb for the rookie.
Bailey was stellar over the past week, delivering big in three games. He had 17 points, two rebounds and assists and one block over 25 minutes on March 18. Bailey posted 33 points, nine rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block over 34 minutes on March 19. The rookie had 25 points, seven rebounds, five blocks and four assists in 33 minutes on March 21.
He's on the rise, but I still think he's underowned. Bailey is worth adding/utilizing in more fantasy leagues.
Even if you just add/stream Bailey in standard leagues, he needs to be owned in about 100% of leagues for the time being. Take advantage of things while he's excelling.
Peyton Watson: Back On the Court
Watson is owned in about 57% of leagues right now. That's up about 8% from two days ago.
Watson is a player I highlighted in the weekly projections story, but he's also getting mentioned here. That should be a hint to add the Denver forward to your fantasy team.
He returned from a long absence on Sunday, tallying 14 points, six rebounds and three assists over 20 minutes off the bench. He's averaged 14.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1 steal over 30.4 minutes on the season.
Denver is healthy right now, but Watson's role should continue to grow as he gets re-acclimated. His own percentage right now is lower after he missed so much time, so it's a great time to add him for free in a lot of fantasy leagues. Watson should be owned in all deeper leagues, while being a good standard league pickup too.
Brice Sensabaugh: Continuing to Deliver Big
Sensabaugh is sitting around 73% owned. That's not up too much from yesterday, but I still felt like he deserved to be discussed - you'll see why soon.
Our Utah-heavy waiver list ends with Sensabaugh, who is on a heater right now. He's coming off a 41-point game, but missed the two games after that. Sensabaugh is off the injury report, so that's why I like adding him today.
Over his past seven contests, Sensabaugh is averaging 25 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.4 blocks over 27.3 minutes. The points alone should make you want to add Sensabaugh immediately, but he does enough else while on the court to be a pretty solid fantasy asset.
His own percentage is lower because he missed a couple games in a row, but with him nearing a return, it's time to add and utilize Sensabaugh. At least stream/hold him until he cools off as a scorer a bit.
