Should You Add Jusuf Nurkic?
Nurkic is up 14.72% today, bringing his overall percentage to 68.33. He gets a big boost after the season-ending injury to Walker Kessler.
Nurkic had already been on the rise after starting three straight games for Utah. He has been over 30 minutes in each of the team's past two games, after not topping 22 minutes before that, and being below 20 minutes in the first five games of the year.
Overall, he's played 172 minutes and tallied 59 points, 75 rebounds, 23 assists, 13 steals and three blocks. Nurkic has 22 turnovers and 19 fouls, while shooting 37.7% overall, just 2-of-17 on his 3-pointers and is 11-of-16 on his free throws.
He has only scored in double figures twice, but he has double-digit rebounds in four contests already, including the past two games. With an expanded role and no Kessler around, there's a chance Nurkic could be a good fantasy asset the rest of the season.
He needs to score more and be a nightly double-double threat to get into most standard leagues, but as a big man, he's already working his way into some standard leagues. I like him better in deeper leagues until his scoring goes up, but if you can afford to roster him now, I'd make that move, because he could be scooped up quickly.
He's not likely to be a top-end fantasy big man the rest of the season, but he's capable of delivering solid numbers and helping fantasy squads out. Give him a look and determine if he's worth adding.
Should You Add Derrick Jones Jr.?
Jones is up 12% today, bringing his overall mark to 30.56%.
Jones has played a few more minutes of late, and it's led to consistent and better fantasy showings. After playing between 17-23 minutes the first four games, Jones has been at 27 or 28 minutes - he's started all seven of the Clippers' games.
Over his past three contests, Jones has 44 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, four blocks and two steals. Overall in 170 minutes played, he has 80 points, 19 rebounds, seven blocks and assists and four steals.
He is shooting 62% from the floor and 44.8% from 3-point land. Jones is 5-of-7 on his free throws and has 16 fouls and five turnovers so far.
I like his role of late, and think his production is worthy of more deep-league fantasy ownership. I don't see him ever getting to standard league ownership, but in a pinch, maybe he could be a worthwhile add.
Definitely consider him in deeper leagues though, especially if you are lacking at forward.
Should You Add Kris Dunn?
Dunn has been added in 10.33% of leagues and he now sits at 21.67% overall.
Another Clipper to add to the mix. He started the team's last game and played 30 minutes, which is good for a fantasy outlook. Unfortunately, he only tallied six points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block, and put up just four shots.
He has played 167 minutes over his seven games so far this season, but had been at 25 or less minutes in each of the six games before last night. He has scored in double figures twice, but can fill out the stat sheet enough to draw fantasy attention.
In his seven games, he's totaled 50 points, 21 rebounds, 12 steals, 10 assists and one block. Dunn has 16 fouls and 10 turnovers. He is shooting 51.3% overall, 43.8% from deep and is 3-of-4 on his free throws.
He has earned himself a solid nightly role for the Clippers, but simply doesn't do enough to make it into standard leagues. It would take several long-term injuries to LA players to make that a possibility.
Dunn is a deep-league asset though, and is probably worth adding in a few more of those leagues. He does enough to help out at guard.
Should You Add Bogdan Bogdanovic?
Bogdanovic is rostered in 10% of leagues after a 6.92% increase today. Another Clipper for you - I promise I'm done talking about them now.
He has played in just three games so far, and looked his best on Tuesday. Over 29 minutes off the bench, Bogdanovic posted 11 points, rebounds, four assists and two steals.
LA is missing some key players, including Bradley Beal and Kawhi Leonard, which helps guys like Bogdanovic, Dunn and Jones a bit. Beal and Leonard are injury-prone players though, so Bogdanovic, Dunn and Jones have a chance to stick as fantasy assets if they can stay healthy themselves.
Bogdanovic averaged 11.4 points, 3.2 assists, 3.1 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 0.2 blocks over 25 minutes a game for LA last season. That kind of production is what makes Bogdanovic a deep-league fantasy asset.
He just needs to stick on the court for his fantasy own percentage to start rising. I don't mind adding him today in some deeper leagues, and he's someone to keep an eye on in case he keeps delivering, which will make him that much better of a deep-league pickup.
Should You Add Moses Moody?
Moody is owned in 18.33% of fantasy leagues after a 4.41% increase.
Moody has been all over the place as a fantasy asset this season, with his minutes playing a big role in that. In the three games where he played the most, he scored 20-28 points.
He scored nine and seven points in the two games he reached 21 minutes in. Moody had three points across 16 minutes in another game, and no points in a game where he neared 10 minutes.
Golden State was without Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler III and Draymond Green for the last game, which helped Moody deliver better numbers. Moody would be worth a roster spot in all leagues if he was averaging around 20 points a game, but he's more of a streaming option when several Golden State regulars are out of the mix.
Moody could definitely earn a bigger role if he stays hot from the floor, so he's worth keeping an eye on. He's worth adding in some deeper leagues as a result too.
Should You Add Josh Minott?
Minott is up 3.25% and is rostered in 40.88% of leagues overall.
He played a bigger role in the last Boston game, starting and playing 33 minutes. Minott took advantage of things, tallying 21 points, five rebounds and three steals.
He has scored in double figures in five of his eight games so far. Minott has started six straight games, fluctuating between 15-33 minutes, so his production has been all over the place in that span.
Boston is still adapting to life with a new-look roster, and Minott has a chance to factor in here and there. He needs to deliver consistently to see his own percentage rise more.
For now, I don't mind rostering and utilizing him in deeper leagues, and he could be a standard league streamer in a pinch - that's risky with his up-and-down minutes of late though.
He's a player to keep an eye on, but I see him being a better deep-league asset over the course of the season. A long-term injury to a Celtic forward could thrust him into a larger role, so he's a name to track.
