It's time for another fantasy basketball mock draft!

Today, we'll be using the FantasyPros fantasy basketball mock draft simulator and have the 10th pick in a 10-team categories setup.

There's a single starter at point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward, guard and forward, two starting centers and two utility spots, along with five bench slots.

Let's dive in!

Round 1 - Anthony Davis

I opened my draft with Davis, which is always a risky proposition given his injury history. However, knowing I had another pick right after this, I had an immediate way to protect him.

When healthy, Davis is a great source of points and rebounds, and adds some nice block totals. He's a nice fantasy asset to build around.

Round 2 - Domantas Sabonis

I immediately helped protect against a potential Davis injury by taking Sabonis. So, my two center spots are already filled.

Sabonis stuffs the stat sheet, so he's a great categories draft pick. I think I got two first-round picks to kick off my draft, which is always a win.

Round 3 - Scottie Barnes

I think Barnes here is a steal as well. He can stuff the stat sheet pretty well, and I think there's still more he can do in his career.

If he's healthy all season, I really like my top-three picks.

Round 4 - Chet Holmgren

Again, I feel like I have another draft steal here in Holmgren. He's another option in case I lose Davis for an extended period of time.

Holmgren is still growing, and is already a good source for points, rebounds and blocks. If he takes his game to the next level, I'm loving my chances with this squad.

Round 5 - Austin Reaves

Reaves felt like the first pick that I didn't get a big-time steal on. I still love his value here in round 5.

He fills the stat sheet pretty well, and maybe has another level of play he can reach still. Reaves was a much-needed guard, and is a solid one to build around.

Round 6 - Miles Bridges

Bridges is a forward who is pretty similar to Reaves in being a well-rounded fantasy asset.

I like that he has the chance to lead his team on any given night, and feels like another really good value pick here in round 6.

Round 7 - Coby White

I keep ending up with White in my mock drafts. I must like his value in these middle rounds.

He can score it well, but also chips in enough other stats to be a pretty good fantasy asset all-around. I think White could take his game to a new level this coming season, so that's another reason why I really like him in mock drafts.

Round 8 - Mikal Bridges

Bridges is a step down as a scorer from what I've drafted so far, but with his availability, I think he's a good pick in these middle rounds.

He does enough outside scoring to help a category-based squad out.

Round 9 - Jordan Poole

Poole might be a bit more well-rounded fantasy asset, so to get him a round later feels like a win. I think he could help guide the Pelicans in 25-26.

Poole of course is a good scorer, but he adds in enough assists, rebounds and steals to be a sneaky good all-around talent.

Round 10 - Cam Thomas

Thomas is a big-time scorer, so he adds to what should be a high-scoring bunch. He adds enough else to provide good all-around value too.

Being weaker at guard until these past two picks, I think Poole and Thomas really help solidify the guard spot, and team overall.

Round 11 - Keegan Murray

Murray isn't a big-time scorer, but he adds depth at forward, and some solid rebound numbers. With some steals and blocks too, he was a needed body at forward.

Maybe I'll get lucky and this becomes his big breakout season. If it doesn't, I'll gladly take his nightly averages from last year.

Round 12 - Devin Vassell

Vassell is a guard/forward with some solid all-around numbers.

On a young and emerging Spurs' team, I'm hoping that Vassell will be a good sidekick to Victor Wembanyama.

Round 13 - Aaron Nesmith

Feeling good about my team overall, I decided to take some late-round gambles. The first was Nesmith.

He should play a bigger role with Tyrese Haliburton out for the coming year. That could mean more scoring, and all-around numbers. He can fill in at a few spots, and really feels like a solid draft pick this late.

Round 14 - Yves Missi

I felt that I needed to round out my team with some big men, so Missi was the first of two picks that accomplished that.

He's close to a double-double player a night, and he could get there with a little improvement this season. Really, he's just depth for the nights that the rest of my big men have off.

Round 15 - Isaiah Jackson

Jackson was my last pick in this mock. He was the second big man I decided to add to provide some depth.

He could step into a larger role this season after Myles Turner went to Milwaukee. With Haliburton out too, there's a chance the production is split between others, and Jackson could be among that group. It felt like a low-risk, but high-reward pick this late.

Final Thoughts

I was graded as an A-, getting a 91/100 overall. I was the No. 2 ranked team, and not too far behind the team in first.

The draft simulator liked my mock, but thought I should have drafted James Harden in the second round - that would have led to me being the No. 1 team.

I gave my reasoning for wanting to take Sabonis after Davis, and I stick by that reasoning. Really, I would have rather done Sabonis and Harden than Davis and Harden, but I'm not going to complain with Davis and Sabonis.

I had steals with Poole, Thomas and Murray, while there were no big reaches, according to the simulator. I felt the same way, and believed most of my picks were either steals or great value picks.

While my team was ranked second overall, my starters were ranked third. I had the best bench score in the league.

The simulator thinks I'm strongest at center and forward, which makes sense after how my draft started. I was also fourth at shooting guard, but was sixth at small forward, eighth at point guard and ninth at guard. I'm honestly surprised I ranked as well as I did with really only two spots highlighted as strengths.

I feel good all-around with this mock draft team.

At guard, I like Reaves, Barnes and White. There's other ways to fill those spots, including with Poole, Thomas and Vassell, who were my two utility spots and top bench player.

The Bridges at forward feels a little weak, but Murray, Nesmith and Jackson are all options too, plus I can get creative and utilize Sabonis there to make it a good spot.

At center, I could go with Sabonis, Davis or Holmgren, so I'm really stacked there. Missi is just a depth option, but will help out here and there.

I don't feel any big weakness on this team, and would probably just hold this roster going into the season, instead of looking to fill a spot before the year kicked off.

Of course, the health of my team would be the biggest thing with the overall success I could achieve. Outside Davis, I feel like I really avoided injury-prone players, so I'm liking this team and my chances.

Keep checking back as the NBA season nears for even more fantasy basketball coverage!
