January 22 Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire: Anthony Black, Duncan Robinson, Rob Dillingham, Jaylin Williams, Jaden McDaniels and More
NBA players who are popular waiver wire pickups during the 14th week of the fantasy season.
Let’s go over a new batch of fantasy basketball waiver wire options.
We won’t cover anyone in detail that we already discussed on Monday and Tuesday, but instead will focus on five new players. The players were pulled from the FantasySP Waiver Wire Pickups page, which is updated daily.

Anthony Black Fantasy Outlook
Black got an 8.8% increase in own percentage and sits at 31.93% overall now. Black has performed better of late, so it’s no surprise to see his own percentage on the rise.
In 41 games and four starts this season, Black is averaging 9.2 points, 2.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1 steal and 0.6 steals across 24.6 minutes. Over the past six games (one start), Black is averaging 30.1 minutes, 14.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and assists, 1.3 steals and 0.2 blocks.
The Magic are still dealing with several injuries, and Black has taken advantage of the extra opportunities of late. When Orlando gets healthier, it might limit Black’s usage a bit, but for the time being, he’s a good deep-league option, and could maybe even be a standard league streamer in really favorable matchups.
Black is also playing well enough right now that he might retain a big role even when the team gets closer to full health. I’d expect his own percentage to rise until his playing time or production starts to fall off.
Duncan Robinson Fantasy Outlook
Robinson was added in 8.58% of leagues and is up to 26.57% now. He’s started three games in a row, but it’s a pair of 20-point showings in a row that likely is the biggest reason behind Robinson’s own percentage increase.
He has 43 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and one block over 64 minutes in the team’s last two games. Robinson is averaging 11 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.1 blocks across 23.5 minutes in 40 games and 22 starts this season.
Robinson is a 3-point specialist, and is a streaky shooter, so it makes lots of sense for fantasy owners to add him. He’s going to likely top out as a deep-league option, but when he’s averaging 20 points a game, he absolutely could get some standard league streaming starts.
Try to target defensive matchups where 3-point specialists have found success this season. Also, don’t wait to add Robinson - try to take advantage while he’s on a hot streak.
Robinson should probably be owned in more deep leagues, and I’d expect his own percentage to keep rising before the team plays again.
Rob Dillingham Fantasy Outlook
Dillingham was bumped up 4.14% and is rostered in 9.5% of leagues now. He hasn’t done a ton in his rookie season, but he might be turning the corner after a couple decent showings in a row.
For the season, Dillingham is averaging 5.1 points, 0.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.1 steals across 9.8 minutes in just 18 games. Over his past three games, the rookie is averaging 16.2 minutes, 12 points, 1.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists.
Dillingham is definitely worth an add in some deep leagues, especially dynasty/keeper ones. If he continues to put up similar averages, expect his own percentage to steadily rise.
At least get him on your watch list in deeper leagues, but don’t wait too long to make the move, because a young, talented player like Dillingham might be scooped up in a hurry.
Jaylin Williams Fantasy Outlook
Williams got another 3.97% bump, bringing his total mark to 26.81%. His own percentage is going up as he gets more playing time and some starts.
For the season, Williams is averaging 5.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 0.3 steals and 0.5 blocks across 15 games and three starts. He’s averaging 15.4 minutes a game. Over his past five games (three starts), Williams is averaging 21.9 minutes, 9 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.8 blocks.
The Thunder are missing a couple big men right now, and that’s giving Williams some extra playing time. I’m all for adding Williams in some deeper leagues right now.
Roster and play Williams until his playing time or production falls off. I think he’ll top out as a deep-league option, but as just a 22-year-old, he’s worth putting on your watch list in case this extra playing time leads to his NBA breakout.
Jaden McDaniels Fantasy Outlook
McDaniels is owned in 63.4% of leagues after a 3.59% increase. He’s been putting up solid numbers of late, and so it makes sense to see his own percentage rising.
In 43 games and starts this season, McDaniels is averaging 30.7 minutes, 10.1 points, 5 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.8 blocks a game. Over his past six games, he’s averaging 34.9 minutes, 12.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 steals and blocks a game.
It’s still not great fantasy production, but it’s definitely enough to get him some standard league streaming starts for the time being. He’s in a hot stretch right now, and I’d try to take advantage of things while you can.
This would also be a time to sell high on him in a deeper league.
