The Washington Nationals have reportedly circled Oakland Athletics pitcher Sonny Gray as a trade target with less than a week remaining until the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline.
According to Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal, the Nationals are "in" on Gray, but their ability to complete a deal may hinge on their willingness to part with fifth-ranked prospect Victor Robles.
MLB Network's Jon Morosi first reported the A's had "shown interest" in Robles.
Gray has also been linked heavily to the New York Yankees, who are seeking to stabilize a starting rotation that's been hampered by inconsistency and a season-ending injury to Michael Pineda
