Outlook Jacob Misiorowski
Jacob Misiorowski continues historic run of dominance heading into matchup with Atlanta
After throwing a mind-bending, 15-strikeout complete-game one-hitter on Friday, Jacob Misiorowski is the talk of baseball. He has not allowed an earned run over his last 16 innings, helping the first-place Brewers (43-26) maintain their lead in the division. Milwaukee is giving their young staff anchor some pre-scheduled extra rest, pushing his next start to Friday.
While our season projections expected a 4.01 ERA and 1.25 WHIP, Misiorowski has utterly shattered those baselines with a microscopic 1.36 ERA and 0.74 WHIP across 14 starts this year. His blistering fastball and 13.7 K/9 rate are completely legitimate, though some slight ratio regression toward his projected path is inevitable over a full summer.
Because of his extra rest, the right-hander gets just one start this week on June 19 on the road against Atlanta. He faces veteran Martin Perez, who has a solid 2.90 ERA but lacks the young righty's slate-breaking strikeout upside. Our models project a highly favorable matchup, making him a mandatory fantasy start.

Outlook Rhett Lowder
Lowder Returns to the Rotation with Mixed Ratios and a Bracing Test in the Bronx
After recovering from a mid-May injury, Rhett Lowder is back on the mound and currently slots in as the number five starter in the rotation for the last-place Reds (33-37). Over his last two starts spanning 8.2 innings, the rookie has managed a sparkling 1.10 ERA with 10 strikeouts, capitalizing on opportunities created by rotation injuries to Hunter Greene and Brandon Williamson. However, his control has been erratic since his return, leading to seven walks and a bloated 1.59 WHIP over that short span.
While his recent 1.10 ERA is eye-catching, the underlying metrics suggest regression is lurking. Lowder's 2026 season stats show a much higher 4.74 ERA and 1.47 WHIP, which align more closely with our rest-of-season projection of a 4.44 ERA and 1.34 WHIP. The high walk rate and heavy traffic on the bases indicate his recent success is somewhat of a fluke, and fantasy managers should expect his ratios to normalize toward our projected baseline.
Lowder is scheduled for a single start on Friday, June 19, on the road against the powerhouse Yankees. It is a highly unfavorable matchup, as he will face off against New York's Cam Schlittler, who carries a dominant 1.82 ERA and 0.91 WHIP this season. Given the tough opponent, hostile road environment, and his own recent control issues, fantasy managers should keep the rookie on the bench. Verdict: Sit.
