Tyler Freeman's Hot Streak Paused by Head Injury; Landed on 7-Day IL

Tyler Freeman's recent hot streak, highlighted by a superb .409 batting average over his last seven games, has unfortunately been put on pause. The Rockies' primary right fielder was placed on the 7-day injured list on June 6 with a head injury. He remains sidelined as the fifth-place Rockies (26-42) play out their weekly schedule.

Before his injury, Freeman's .273 batting average was aligning closely with our season projection of .277. While he lacks elite power, having hit just three home runs so far, his ability to avoid strikeouts and chip in double-digit stolen bases (projected for 12) makes him a highly valuable contact asset once he returns to the lineup.

Colorado plays four remaining matchups this week against the Cubs and Athletics, facing starters like Edward Cabrera (4.99 ERA) and Jeffrey Springs (4.68 ERA). However, since Freeman is currently on the shelf and inactive, he cannot help your lineup right now. Keep him stashed, but Sit him for the upcoming matchups.
