Cole Kmet at Carolina — Secondary Role Caps Week 1 Value

Kmet enters the season operating as Chicago's secondary tight end behind starter Colston Loveland. Although fully healthy, his route participation takes a clear backseat to Loveland and an active wide receiver corps. While the Bears utilize multi-tight-end sets, Kmet's opportunities will remain scarce without an expanded role in standard passing situations.

Our projections expect roughly 1.7 catches and 17 receiving yards against Carolina, reflecting a minimal fantasy floor. Rostered in only 2% of leagues and started in virtually none, he provides little weekly reliability. Fantasy managers should leave him on the bench or waiver wire until he commands consistent targets.
