Poised for Expanded Target Volume as Philadelphia's Top Perimeter Threat
DeVonta Smith enters the season locked into Philadelphia's primary perimeter role after shaking off a minor preseason hamstring injury. With head coach Nick Sirianni noting expanded opportunities and the team naming him a captain, Smith is set to command elite route volume from quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Our projections forecast another productive campaign, pegging Smith for 93 receptions, 1,150 receiving yards, and six touchdowns on 127 targets. Even with Saquon Barkley and Dallas Goedert commanding defensive attention, Smith's sharp route running maintains a reliable target share and weekly consistency.
Fantasy drafters have pushed Smith's ADP from pick 38 in late July up to pick 32. Fantasy managers quickly looked past his brief camp absence, keeping his roster rate at 100 percent. Our models view him as a sturdy WR2 value with clear WR1 upside in full-PPR formats.
