Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and the Las Vegas Raiders have reportedly reached an agreement. The contract includes $34 million guaranteed and could net Garoppolo $67.5 million over the next three years. Garoppolo has decided to reunite with Josh McDaniels, as the two enjoyed success during their time in New England.
On the other hand, Garoppolo bids farewell to San Francisco. A city where he spent six seasons with the 49ers, but only appeared in 11 games in 2022 due to a broken foot that shortened his season. He had 2,437 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions while leading the Niners to a 7-3 record in games he started. The 31-year-old led the 49ers to a 13-3 record and a Super Bowl appearance in 2019, but lacked consistency the following season, prompting the team to name Trey Lance as their starter. However, Garoppolo was forced into action in Week 2 after Lance suffered a season-ending injury.
