Fantasy Football Week 14 Kicker Streamers: Riley Patterson, Will Reichard, and More
Three kickers with good matchups in Week 14 who are widely available in fantasy leagues and can be picked up and inserted into your lineup.
We are to the point in the season where any game in certain areas of the country could turn into a winter-weather game. That could mean snow, extreme cold, sleet, wind, and many other things, but it's important to check weather reports near game day.
Weather changes fast, so what looks like it could be decent weather on Tuesday can quickly change to a blizzard warning by Sunday; be vigilant in your weather watching. Even the best kicker on the best offense is helpless against Mother Nature.
Let's look at three kickers with good matchups in Week 14 who are widely available in fantasy leagues and can be picked up and inserted into your lineup. Most stats are from NFL.com.

Matt Prater, Buffalo Bills vs. Cincinnati Bengals
I just want to touch on Prater quickly before getting to three other guys: Tyler Bass is out for the season, leaving Prater as the guy in Buffalo. Despite being the kicker for one of the best offenses in football, he is owned in fewer than 50% of fantasy leagues; he should probably be on a roster in almost every league.
The matchup is also fantastic in this one, as the Bengals have given up about three more points per game than anyone else. The weather looks like it should be OK, but being that the game is in Buffalo, it's an important one to check.
If you don't have a weekly starter at kicker, Prater could be that player. There will be a chance of winter weather in each of his remaining games, but when the conditions allow, he will be a strong option.
Riley Patterson, Miami Dolphins @ New York Jets
Patterson has been very good this season, making 21 of 23 field goal attempts and 24 of 25 extra points. He has only attempted one field goal over 50 yards (and missed it), so he hasn't been trying the kicks that score the most fantasy points, but Patterson has made all 10 tries between 40 and 49 yards.
The Jets have given up the sixth-most points per game. Four teams have scored at least 30 points against New York, and three others have hit at least 27. When these teams played in Week 4, Miami won 27-21.
Patterson made both field goals and all three extra points in that game. The Dolphins don't have a high-level offense, but they can usually scrap together something close to an average attack, particularly in the run game. With a good matchup here, they should be able to easily top 20 points again and give their kicker a chance to put some points on the board.
This game is in East Rutherford, New Jersey, so it's important to verify the weather in this one. Early reports say it'll be a little cold but with no precipitation.
Will Reichard, Minnesota Vikings vs. Washington Commanders
It's scary to trust bad offenses, but that's what we're doing here. Minnesota was inept without J.J. McCarthy on Sunday, losing 26-0 to the Seahawks and gaining less than 200 total yards. That wasn't necessarily a surprise given that they were starting undrafted free agent Max Brosmer at quarterback, but this team has also struggled mightily with McCarthy in the lineup.
This is more about the matchup, as the Commanders have allowed the fifth-most points per game. They can't stop the pass or the run: Washington has given up the most yards per pass attempt and the seventh-most yards per rush attempt.
Reichard has been very good, making 21 of 23 field goal attempts and all 19 of his extra points. His only two misses are from over 50 yards, a range from which he has still made 8 of his 10 kicks.
There is nothing wrong with the player in question; it's all about the suspect offense around him. With the matchup in his favor, I'm OK with Reichard as a streamer this week.
This one is indoors in Minnesota, so weather won't be a factor, our only player this week who will enjoy that luxury.
Andre Szmyt, Cleveland Browns vs. Tennessee Titans
This is another case of a kicker with a bad offense, as the Browns have scored the fourth-fewest points per game, just 16.2. They are starting fifth-round rookie Shedeur Sanders at quarterback, leaving a low floor, like when they scored eight points against the 49ers on Sunday, and Szmyt didn't attempt a single kick.
They were better against a bad Raiders team the week before, and that's the hope here, is that Cleveland can take advantage of another bad team in the Titans to score some points. Szmyt got a field goal and three extra points against Las Vegas, and we might be able to expect something similar here, maybe trading a touchdown for another field goal.
Tennessee has given up the fourth-most points per game, more than 27 per contest. They are another team that struggles in all facets, allowing the third-most yards per pass attempt and the ninth-most yards per rush attempt. The Titans are a great fantasy target for players at all positions.
Szmyt is only a low-level streamer because of his offense, but the matchup is right if you are in a deep league or find yourself in desperation mode later in the week. There's a low floor, but there's also a chance for some production. Early weather reports say it should be fine, but being that the game is in Cleveland, it's best to check later in the week.
