With week 3 of the NFL regular season about to kick off, let's take a peek at some fantasy football players on the move on our trade value chart here at FantasySP.

We'll check out running backs and quarterbacks in this story, then look at wide receivers and tight ends in another.

The entire Trade Value Chart can be found on FantasySP, and is updated all regular season!

Running Backs on the Rise

Javonte Williams, Jordan Mason and Quinshon Judkins are three running backs on the rise going into week 3.

Williams saw his player rating jump 1.4 over the past week.

He's dominated the Cowboys' backfield through two weeks. He's played 111 snaps, with the next-closest back at just 31 snaps.

Williams has 41 touches, which is nearly 30 more than anyone else. He's rushed 33 times for 151 yards and three scores, while catching eight of his 10 targets for 43 receiving yards.

He's been stellar in the first two weeks, and should continue things in a favorable test against the Bears in week 3. That means his fantasy value should rise even more.

So as tempting as it'd be to sell high on Williams now, I'm waiting until at least after this week to make that move. Some might just enjoy his success, as he was a late-round fantasy pick, or waiver pickup to some.

Mason is up 1.5 over the past week. He got a big boost with Aaron Jones Sr. hitting the injured reserve list.

Mason will now be the lead back for the Vikings for at least the next four games. He already leads the backfield in snaps and touches.

Mason has played 58 offensive snaps through two games, which is 10 more than Jones. Mason has the advantage in touches as well, 27-16.

Mason has 98 rushing yards on 34 carries and 15 receiving yards on three grabs and four targets.

He's been solid through two weeks, and now as the lead back, his fantasy value is going to take off. Fantasy teams desperate for RB help are going to target Mason.

If you don't need Mason, now could be a time to sell high on him. Some might wait for him to deliver a big game, but with Jones likely coming back at some point, the best value might be right now, even if his number does increase over the next three weeks.

Throw his name on the trade block and see what kind of offers trickle in.

Judkins got a 2.1 player rating boost, although a lot of that came from him being activated for the first time too.

He played in week 2 and was immediately the team's top back. Judkins got 13 touches across 20 offensive snaps. Jerome Ford played 35 snaps and had 11 touches, while Dylan Sampson had seven touches across 17 snaps.

Judkins had the best fantasy showing after rushing for 61 yards on 10 carries and hauling in all three of his targets for 10 more yards.

Ford had 31 rushing yards on six carries and 23 receiving yards over five grabs and six targets. Sampson caught all three of his targets for 13 yards and a score, while rushing for six yards on four attempts.

I'd be shocked if Judkins isn't the clear leader for this backfield after a couple more weeks. So, his fantasy value should only rise from here. I see Sampson remaining involved, and Ford being squeezed out eventually.

Now is a time to buy low on Judkins, and maybe it won't cost much after fantasy owners look at the jumbled mess that occurred in this Browns' backfield last week.

Running Backs Dropping

Isiah Pacheco, RJ Harvey, TreVeyon Henderson, Ashton Jeanty and Omarion Hampton are among the numerous fantasy backs dropping of late.

Pacheco saw his player rating drop by a full point over the past week.

He's dropping as he barely leads the Chiefs' backfield through two weeks. Pacheco has played 19 more snaps than Kareem Hunt, but has just two more touches. Hunt has three more total yards.

Some see this as a buy-low point on Pacheco, but I'd be trying to sell him while he still has some value. I just don't believe in him going forward.

Harvey is down 1.1 over the past week.

Harvey was expected to be the leader in the Denver backfield, but it's been J.K. Dobbins who has 20 more touches through two weeks.

Harvey is averaging 7.1 yards per carry, while Dobbins is at 4.6 yards, and has scored twice. Neither has separated themself in the receiving game.

Some are worried about Harvey, but he just needs more chances. I think he's a good buy-low trade candidate. I'd be all over selling high on Dobbins before he gets hurt or Harvey takes the backfield lead.

Henderson has gone down 1.5 on his player rating.

He looked like the clear RB1 for New England, but Rhamondre Stevenson has nine touches and 41 more snaps played through two weeks.

Henderson has been more efficient with his rushing attempts, and in time, I still expect him to lead this backfield on the ground. Stevenson might still play enough and produce as a pass-catching back to have fantasy value too.

I like buying low on Henderson, and possibly selling Stevenson high, especially if he delivers another good showing in week 3.

Jeanty's player rating is down 1.2 over the past week.

Another back is not the issue with Jeanty, it's inefficiency that has him dropping. Over 93 snaps (63 more than another back) and 35 touches (28 more than anyone else), Jeanty has just 84 total yards.

He's averaging just 2.7 yards a carry, and has under a yard per catch. Things will improve going forward, and I'd be all about buying Jeanty low.

Make the move now before he erupts.

Hampton saw his player rating drop 1.1 over the past seven days.

Hampton has a 14-touch and 56-snap lead over Najee Harris, but Harris had one more touch in week 2, so that's definitely a concern. Harris is averaging 0.6 yards more per rushing attempt, while also gaining 11 more yards on the same amount of catches.

Hampton still has a hold of the RB1 role for LA, but he's definitely trending down as a fantasy asset. I'm also for buying low on this rookie, as I think he'll get rolling eventually.

Quarterback Update

Aside from the obvious big jumps from backups taking over as their team's starters, there's not too many quarterbacks gaining a ton of value going into week 3.

Daniel Jones is the only QB to see his player rating rise by more than one over the past week. He's up 1.4 to 13.55 overall.

All he's done through two games is throw for 588 yards, two scores and no picks on 71.4% passing. Jones has 28 rushing yards and two scores on the ground as well.

He's been a top-end fantasy QB so far, which not many saw coming. Jones is highly projected in week 3 despite a tougher matchup, and a good showing in that one could really skyrocket his player rating.

Of course, a poor showing could lower it in a big way too. So depending on how you view Jones, it's either a time to sell high on him, or buy before his value increases more.

I'm not completely sold yet, so I'd be looking to sell high still.

More quarterbacks are on the decline.

Jayden Daniels is falling due to an injury, but a slow start to the season also has him falling.

He has 433 passing yards, three touchdowns and no picks through two games - he's completed just 59.7% of his passes. Daniels has 85 rushing yards, but no scores on the ground.

It's been a slow start for Daniels. One matchup was tough, while the other was not, and he didn't look the best in either game. An injury is worsening things even more, and his fantasy outlook is suddenly murky.

I still believe in Daniels, but I will admit that I'm a bit worried about him. Throwing his name on the trade block is what I'd do - you might get an offer to help at a position of need, and then you can just stream QBs the rest of the year.

Jalen Hurts is a big-name QB who is falling strictly because of below-average play.

He has just 253 passing yards, but no touchdowns over the first two weeks. Hurts has no picks, is completing 75.6% of his passes and has rushed for 77 yards and three scores to save his fantasy value.

Hurts has never been the best passer, but this offense looks off after the team's Super Bowl win last season. I'm concerned about Hurts enough to also throw his name on the trade block.

Stream a QB instead, and see if someone will still pay top dollar to trade for Hurts.
