Week 7 was wild and fantasy owners were sweating it out with six teams (teams with several fantasy stars) on their respective bye weeks. In Week 8, only the Raiders and Ravens will not be suiting up, which certainly makes things easier. Tomorrow we kick off Week 8 with what was expected to be the best matchup of the season. The 6-1 Green Bay Packers head to Phoenix to take on the undefeated 7-0 Cardinals on Thursday Night Football. As we prepare for Week 8, and the trade deadline that is fast approaching in most fantasy leagues, let’s look at the players fantasy owners are trading and trading for most often.

looked great to begin the season as he led the Broncos to a 3-0 record. He had four touchdown passes and no picks to start the season. Since then, he has lost four straight and Denver is beginning to panic. It appears fantasy owners are also panicking since Bridgewater is being traded more than anyone else in all of fantasy. After committing no turnovers in his first four contests, Teddy has thrown five picks and lost a fumble in his last three games. The Broncos’ schedule only gets tougher, so be careful if you are considering making a move for the Denver signal-caller. He is not as good as he seemed to begin the season.
Somehow, ’s ownership was just 27% heading into Week 8. However, by the time waivers were claimed, the former basketball player was owned in about half of all leagues. Uzomah is the definition of a boom-or-bust player, but he had another massive day on Sunday in Cincy’s manhandling of a great Baltimore Ravens franchise. Uzomah caught all three targets for 91 yards and two touchdowns. In Week 4, he had a similar line of five receptions for 95 yards and two touchdowns. Uzomah has five touchdowns in his last four games and is currently the fourth-ranked tight end in all fantasy football leagues. Perhaps that is why he is being traded at the second highest rate in all of fantasy football. Don’t give up a lot for him, but Uzomah is worth taking a risk on if you need a bye week filler at the tight end position. Trade a handcuff or your WR5 for Uzomah and see what the Bengals can do with the big man during the second half of the season.

Fantasy owners seem to be giving up on second-year running back . After a solid three-week stretch, Gibson has struggled while playing through a shin injury. In fact, backup is outplaying the workhorse. Now is the perfect time to buy-low, assuming Gibson makes a full recovery. Many of Gibson’s fantasy owners are likely frustrated with the lack of production from the player they selected in the second round. In his last two games against the Chiefs and Packers (two of the most potent offenses in the NFL), the game script wasn’t very good for Gibson. During that span, he recorded 24 carries for 95 yards along with four receptions for five yards. Expect a big bounce-back in Week 8 when Washington heads to Denver to take on the defense at Mile High! Go get Gibson before it’s too late!
has been red-hot since taking over full control of the RB1 role in New England but he is one of the most coveted running backs in fantasy football. The overall RB12 over the last three weeks is top-10 in red-zone (17), inside-the-10 (13) and inside-the-five carries (7) on the year. He now gets a date with the Chargers’ league-worst run defense. I supposed owners are selling high on Harris, who surpassed 100 rushing yards for the second consecutive week and third time this season, but with the matchup against the Chargers on the horizon, fantasy owners should hold onto Harris for at least one or two more weeks.
After seeing literally zero targets in Week 5, and the Falcons received a bye week in the sixth week of the season. Upon his return in Week 7, the volume was there, but he wasn’t all that great. He caught four of 10 targets for 26 yards and a touchdown. Ridley is only averaging 12.6 fantasy points per game so fantasy owners are trading him quite often heading into Week 8. However, Ridley is the WR1 in Atlanta and should continue to see a large target share. His value exceeds his production. Take a chance on the struggling wideout.
Lastly, is surprisingly being traded at the third highest-rate this week. He missed the Ravens’ last two games but is likely to return following the team’s Week 8 bye. In five games, the former first-round pick has recorded 18 receptions for 292 yards. He has failed to score a touchdown. This one is quite puzzling to me. I wouldn’t trade for him in a million years. If I owned Watkins, I’d take anything for the veteran wideout who has done next to nothing this season.
