Frank Gore RB, Week 7 Waiver Target
Fantasy owners looking to bolster their backfield should take a closer look at what is going on with the Miami Dolphins. Frank Gore just had his first 100 yard day this season rushing for 101 yards on just 15 attempts with one catch for 18 yards.
Perhaps even more interesting is how the backfield broke down in Week 6 with Kenyan Drake getting 17 total touches for 57 yards rushing and 4 catches for 21 yards recieving.
In fact, the past two weeks has essentially been a complete split in total touches for both Gore and Drake. This past week Drake fumbled at the goal line costing the Dolphins a win against the Bears, and could result in more goal line carries for the veteran Gore.
The Miami Dolphin have a good matchup this week against the Detroit Lions at home. The Lions give up the 3rd most points to opposing running backs.
Fantasy owners should feel good about starting both backs and Gore owners may be fortunate enough to nab a touchdown. Gore is the perfect bye-week replacement or injury fill-in with his touches increasing each week and the easy matchup.
Gore is available in 78% of leagues and should be considered a RB2 in most fantasy formats in Week 7.
