Packers Release Jordy Nelson

Lesley Tedeschi Mar 13th 5:42 PM EDT.

Jordy Nelson has been released by the Packers after ten seasons.

Nelson was drafted back in 2008 and has been a star player during his tenure. He ranks in the top five for all stats and will remain in the Packers history books. Jordy has suffered injuries over the years and missed the entire 2015 season with a knee injury. When he returned to the field the next year he won comeback player of the year.

The Packers and Nelson seem to be parting ways on good terms. It will be interesting to see which team picks him up.
