Cleveland Browns Will Play Starters This Week
The Cleveland Browns know that their team is mostly composed of inexperienced players at the moment, and have decided to play their starters in the final preseason game on Thursday.
New head coach Hue Jackson has been trimming the fat in Cleveland since he came on board. Paul Kruger the lineman was released on Monday, and punter Andy Lee was traded. Jackson is not trying to hide the fact that the team is transitioning and the more practice the better.
The Browns have looked alright in the first three preseason games, but there is definitely more work to be done.
With the start of the season only a week and a half away, now is the time to get players as much time on the field as they need. Veterans generally sit out the last preseason game to get as much rest before the season begins. New players haven't earned the luxury to rest yet, and need as many reps as possible.
