Dennis Pitta Close to Return
Baltimore Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta is close to returning after suffering a broken finger back on August 1st.
Pitta hasn't been the healthiest player over the past two seasons, dealing with ongoing hip issues, he sat out all of last year due to a broken hip. He hasn't played a full season since 2012, so when he gets back on the field this year he has to prove himself.
The Ravens are thin in the tight end position right now, especially after Benjamin Watson suffered a season ending achilles tear on Saturday night. Pitta and Maxx Williams are expected to be back in action in time for opening day.
The offensive struggles for quarterback Joe Flacco seem to be mounting with each passing day. Given the history Flacco and Pitta have the two should be able to connect on the field without too much practice.
