I was given the seventh pick in a 10-team categories mock draft. Here’s how my roster came together.
It's time for another fantasy basketball mock draft!
This time, we'll use the FantasyPros simulator. We'll do a 10-team, categories-scoring draft. I was randomly given pick seven.
There's two utility spots and centers and one starter at point guard, shooting guard, guard, small forward and power forward. There's also four bench slots. Let's see what we can do!

Rounds 1/2 - Anthony Edwards and Cooper Flagg
Connect your league to uncover strengths & weaknesses, waiver assistance, trade scenarios, and get instant start/sit clarity.
I went with Edwards in Round 1 and followed him up with Flagg in Round 2.
Edwards is the seventh player on the ADP list here at FantasySP, while Flagg sits 13th. I feel I got pretty solid value on both players, especially if they can stay healthy.
Edwards is one to more carry my team, while I'm hoping Flagg can take another step forward and produce career highs again in 2026-27. I like starting my draft with these two versatile guards.
Rounds 3/4 - Evan Mobley and James Harden
I went with Mobley in Round 3, then Harden in Round 4. Harden is 14th on the ADP list, while Mobley sits 32nd, so I really like the value with Harden.
I skipped Harden in Round 3 after getting some guards in Rounds 1/2, but couldn't pass on him in Round 4. I think that could be a great value pick for me.
As for Mobley, I needed a big man, and he was the best statistical option available near that pick. I definitely need more size soon, but don't mind taking Mobley as my top guy.
Rounds 5/6 - Donovan Clingan and Franz Wagner
Clingan gave me another big man in Round 5, while Wagner was a forward addition in Round 6. Clingan sits 70th on the ADP list, while Wagner is 47th.
Centers went early and often, as they often do, so I didn't mind reaching a bit on Clingan, who keeps improving and should be in store for another career year in 2026-27.
Wagner is looking to bounce back this coming season. If he does, he could be a major draft steal.
Rounds 7/8 - Tyler Herro and Julius Randle
Herro was my seventh-round pick, and sits 61st on the ADP list so far. Randle went in Round 8 for me, and checks in 53rd on the ADP list.
I like the value of both players. Herro should be pretty involved in Milwaukee, and the same goes for Randle in Brooklyn. They don't jump off the page as fantasy assets, but both should be daily starting options all season.
Rounds 9/10 - Michael Porter Jr. and Brandon Ingram
Porter sits 49th on the ADP list, but went in Round 9 to me. Ingram continues to fall on the ADP list (63rd overall), but I decided to take a gamble on him in Round 10.
Porter gives me another wing option. He should be heavily involved for Brooklyn as well, and I now think I have their best two players.
Ingram's status is up in the air, but I plan to stash him on an IR spot and then have another forward to utilize later in the season. I could use him as trade bait if needed, but I have no issues stashing him until he's healthy and ready to go.
Rounds 11/12 - Dylan Harper and Paul George
Harper was my 11th-round pick, but sits 88th on the ADP list. George sits 76th, so getting him in Round 12 already feels like a win.
Harper gives me a much-needed guard, and another player who is rising still. I know what I'm getting with George, and think he will surprise in his first season with Boston.
Rounds 13/14 - Deandre Ayton and RJ Barrett
I needed another center, so I grabbed Ayton (127th on ADP list) in Round 13. Barrett was my final pick in Round 14, and sits 101st on the ADP list.
I like the value on Barrett a bunch, and think he'll be another good wing to utilize, or maybe use as a trade chip. Ayton was more of a depth pick, but I still think there's value in that pick.
Final Thoughts
I was given a B+ grade (88/100) for this mock draft. That ranked third in the league. I got the top grade for my starters, and the sixth-best mark for my reserves.
I feel really strong at guard and forward, but lack at center a bit. I'd look into upgrading my centers before the season started, but think I could fare just fine with the roster I drafted here.
I got some good value picks, and have room to finish higher if a couple younger players take steps forward. At the very least, I'd expect to make the playoffs, and if I stayed pretty healthy and made some good in-season moves, I'd like my chances of winning it all with this squad.
