Waiver wire options can be found all season on FantasySP!
Will Riley: Rookie On the Rise
Riley is up 11.31% already today, which brings his overall mark to 29.29%.
Riley has played in 51 games, making three starts during his rookie season for the Wizards. He's averaging 7.7 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.1 blocks over 17.5 minutes for the season.
He scored in double figures in nine of the 12 games he played in last month. Riley averaged 14.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.1 blocks over 27.2 minutes a night in February.
Those averages are worth more fantasy attention, and is why he's such a big add today. He's a deep-league asset right now, and if he keeps delivering, there's a chance he sneaks into standard leagues in due time, so everyone should at least be monitoring Riley.
Micah Potter: Indiana Big Man Trending Up
Potter is owned in 34.78% of leagues, which is up 8.11% so far today.
He has averaged 9.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.4 blocks over 28 games (three starts) in his 19.9 minutes a night on the season. In his past eight games, Potter has averaged 15.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.6 blocks over 25.6 minutes a contest.
It's easy to see why he's on the rise, and despite him coming off the bench, he's delivering enough for fantasy consideration in a lot of leagues. He still is probably a better deep-league asset, but he is worth standard league streaming consideration.
With 18, 19 and 23 points over his past three contests, I'm a fan of adding Potter in most deeper leagues, and streaming him in standard leagues.
Andre Drummond: Excelling Without Embiid Around
Drummond is up 6% and sits at 22.36% overall now.
He started and played 32 minutes in his last appearance, tallying 10 points, 12 rebounds and four assists and steals. Philly was without Joel Embiid for that contest, and when that happens, Drummond has a much better fantasy outlook.
Embiid is expected to miss a couple more games as well, so adding and utilizing Drummond in the meantime is beneficial for a lot of fantasy teams. He's a short-term add, but could deliver good fantasy marks on points/rebounds alone.
Drummond is probably just worth adding/utilizing in deeper leagues while Embiid is out, but for standard league teams with a roster spot to play with, or a center spot to fill, Drummond isn't the worst streaming add.
Derrick Jones Jr.: Producing in Extended Minutes
Jones is rostered in 27.64% of leagues after a 5.82% increase today.
The veteran is averaging 10.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.1 blocks and 0.8 steals over 27 games (22 starts) in 26.3 minutes a night this season. Jones returned from a long absence in early February and has averaged 11.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.1 blocks and 0.9 steals in 29.8 minutes per game since.
He's scored in double figures in five of the past six contests, and was over 15 points in three of those games. Jones doesn't usually add a lot else outside his scoring, but he's still trending up as a fantasy asset.
He's worth some deep-league adds today, but will likely top out as a deep-league asset. With how Jones has scored it of late, adding him as a short-term standard league streamer isn't the worst idea ever.
Jakob Poeltl: Returning to Form After Long Absence?
Poeltl has been added in 5.63% of leagues, bringing his overall mark to 82.3%.
He missed a ton of time this season, and his averages are down from past years. Poeltl is averaging 9.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.6 blocks over 24.9 minutes in 26 games (24 starts) this season.
Poeltl has played five of the past six games, and found his groove in the past two, tallying 33 points, 17 rebounds, five assists and four steals and blocks combined. That's why he's on the rise today.
Maybe he can return to his better averages from past seasons down the final stretch of the season. He's worth some standard league adds today in case that hot stretch just started, and if he keeps trending up, he'll likely be owned in all leagues in a hurry, so don't wait too long to add Poeltl in your league.
