Weekly Fantasy Basketball Projections: One Player to Add At Each Position
After looking at weekly projections, we highlight one add-worthy option at every position.
A new week of fantasy basketball plays kicks off today. With that in mind, let's go through some weekly projections and highlight a player at each spot who could help you out this week.
Also be sure to check out Monday's streaming article, and check back to FantasySP all week for even more fantasy basketball coverage and analysis.

Dennis Schroder Surging
Schroder has four games coming this week. He's projected for 25 fantasy points and is currently owned in 50% of fantasy leagues.
After being suspended for three games, Schroder has settled back in. In his past three contests, he's scored 16, 21 and 15 points, giving him a good amount of fantasy value on that stat alone. Add in six rebounds, 14 assists and a steal and you have some legit fantasy value to take advantage of.
Since returning from his suspension, he's played in six games. He's come off the bench for all those games, and has only started 12 of the 37 games he's appeared in this season. Schroder has topped 20 minutes in four of his past six games, but has only gone over 24 minutes once.
That lack of playing time holds Schroder back, and keeps him from emerging as a daily standard league fantasy asset. When he's scoring it well, like he is now, that's when Schroder has standard league streaming upside.
He can be streamed and held in those leagues until his production falls off. Him coming off the bench and playing less than half of games makes him a better deep-league fantasy asset though.
Schroder is still a player to take note of, and utilize, for a good majority of readers, so look into his numbers and maybe give him an add for the coming week.
Anfernee Simons Trending Up
Simons is another player with four games coming this week. He is set for 25 points in those contests, and is sitting at 67% rostered.
Simons has mostly been a fantasy disappointment this season, but he did deliver big in his last appearance. He tallied 21 points, five assists, four rebounds and two steals over 27 minutes off the bench.
Simons played nearly 37 minutes, but in an overtime game, in the contest before that. He was at 22-24 minutes in the three games before that.
Simons is capable of delivering big when given a healthy amount of minutes. He's come off the bench for all 45 of the team's games, so that holds him back. Simons has only topped 30 minutes on six occasions.
With four games this week though, and coming off a bigger performance, I'd stream and hold Simons in standard leagues in case he's at the start of a hot streak.
He's definitely worth holding in deeper leagues, and that should remain true for the rest of the season. Even coming off the bench, Simons usually produces enough for nightly starts in deeper leagues.
For the coming week, his value is a bit up, so we'll see if he can keep things rolling after a good outing his last time out.
Kelly Oubre Jr. Consistently Delivering
Oubre is projected for 26 fantasy points over four contests. He's owned in about 80% of leagues right now.
Oubre has been in a pretty solid groove over the past five games, scoring at least 12 points in every contest. He's averaged 18.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.4 blocks over 34.6 minutes in that stretch.
His scoring is up of late, and when he's averaging that many minutes, it makes him a legit fantasy asset in all leagues. Oubre definitely should be rostered and utilized in deeper leagues, but he's also a good standard league fantasy asset right now.
With four games for the coming week, and in the midst of a better stretch of play, I like the idea of streaming and holding Oubre until he cools off.
If there were a time to sell high on him in deeper leagues, now is definitely an opportunity to do just that. I personally like what Oubre brings to the table and would only deal him away in a deeper league if I got a much more trustworthy fantasy player in return. At least consider it though.
Jalen Smith has Ample Opportunities
Smith and the Bulls have five games this week - the final three are against the Heat. Smith is projected for 21 points over those contests and is rostered in 62% of leagues right now.
The thing that should appeal to fantasy owners is his five games this week, but Smith has also done enough while actually on the court to make him that much more appealing.
He has scored in double digits in seven straight contests. Smith has averaged 13.3 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.7 assists and 0.9 blocks over 28.1 minutes in that stretch. Smith has started five of those games, including four in a row.
There's enough good stats in his averages to have a higher fantasy own percentage right now. Of course, he is worth owning and holding in deeper leagues right now, and I see an opportunity to stream and hold him in standard leagues too, especially if you need help at a big man spot.
Smith is providing enough fantasy value on his points and rebounds alone to deliver good fantasy totals every night. It might not be sustainable the rest of the season, but I'd take advantage of things while I could. Anything else Smith adds on a nightly basis is just gravy.
Much like Oubre, it's a prime time to sell high on Smith in deeper leagues. Unless my team was sitting pretty, and I didn't need help at a big man spot, I'd be holding on to Smith until his production fades.
Keep holding and utilizing him until his recent numbers fizzle out a bit.
Jock Landale's Double-Double Upside
Landale has four games this week and is projected for 19 fantasy points. He is rostered in about 67% of leagues at the moment.
Landale continues to play a big role for the Grizzlies. Over the course of January, he's started seven of the team's 10 games, averaging 26.3 minutes a night.
He's scored in double figures in all but two of those games, averaging 13.9 points per contest. Landale is also averaging 8.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.5 blocks this month.
He's shooting 55.6% overall and he's 40.6% from 3-point land, so this is a classic hot shooting stretch for a player. Landale is taking advantage of extra playing time while several teammates are out. He should keep his big role at least until Brandon Clarke and Zach Edey are back, and if he keeps playing well in their absences, Landale could stick as a big rotation piece for Memphis after they both are back.
Landale is a really good deep-league asset right now. If he's still available in your league, stop reading this now and go scoop him up.
I also see some standard league streaming upside with Landale right now. He's worth holding in those leagues as long as he's producing too. Landale plays enough this week to hold in all leagues.
Be watching his game logs closely, as like most of the players we've discussed today, he's a better long-term asset in deeper leagues.
