Predicting the Top Western Conference Fantasy Basketball Players for the Rest of the Season: Jaren Jackson Jr., Luka Doncic, Stephen Curry, DeAndre Ayton, Walker Kessler and More

Morgan picks each team's top fantasy basketball player for the remainder of the season.

After taking a look at the top Eastern Conference fantasy basketball players and then predicting which player would lead each team in fantasy points after the All-Star break, let's do the same for the Western Conference.

I'll be using data from NBA.com when it comes to stats and fantasy points.

Explore the best in-season tool to manage lineup/start decisions including waiver pickups, projections, trade suggestions, trade value charts, rest of season rankings, power rankings, and tons more with Fantasy Assistant. Use our fantasy basketball trade analyzer and the Trade Value Chart to break down trade scenarios.

Thunder

Unsurprisingly, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the top OKC fantasy player. He's averaging 53.8 points per game. Jalen Williams is a distant second at 40.2 points per game.

SGA will continue to power the Thunder, but he could see his fantasy points per game decrease with Chet Holmgren (36.9) back now.

Grizzlies

Jaren Jackson Jr. leads Memhpis with 40 fantasy points per game this season. Ja Morant (38.1) and Desmond Bane (35.4) are also options to lead the Grizzlies any night.

I think Jackson leads the team for the remainder of the season because he can grab rebounds and stuff the stat sheet to record his fantasy points, while not being so reliant on scoring.

Nuggets

Nikola Jokic is the top fantasy scorer so far this season, averaging 64.5 points per game. He'll continue to power Denver for the remainder of the season.

Jamal Murray (38.8) has become a bit underrated as the distant No. 2 option to Jokic, and could be a bit more easily attained in a trade.

Rockets

Alperen Sengun leads Houston with 42.2 fantasy points per game this season. He should easily be the team's top scorer the rest of the season too.

Amen Thompson is second on the team at 34.5 points per game and is one of my favorite trade targets right now.

Lakers

Luka Doncic (51.4) and LeBron James (47.3) are the top-scoring fantasy players on the Lakers' roster now. I'm really curious to see their fantasy averages once Doncic is up to full speed, but I do think he will lead the team in fantasy points the rest of the season.

With Doncic and James leading the way, Austin Reaves (35.4) might be worth acquiring in a trade, as some fantasy owners might be down on his value a touch.

Clippers

James Harden is the team's top fantasy scorer, averaging 43.2 points per contest. Ivica Zubac is at 38.2 fantasy points per contest.

Zubac is a very underrated fantasy option, but Harden is and will continue to serve as the team's top fantasy option this season.

Timberwolves

Anthony Edwards is the top Minnesota fantasy player easily, averaging 43.3 points per game. Julius Randle is the next closest at 34.2 points.

Edwards will continue to lead Minnesota, both in real life and in fantasy. I could even see him upping his fantasy points per game as the Timberwolves look to improve their playoff standing.

Mavericks

After the blockbuster trade, Anthony Davis is the top Dallas fantasy player at 53.3 points per contest. He'll be out several more weeks yet, but will lead the team in fantasy points per game the rest of the way.

Kyrie Irving (40.4) should guide the Mavs with Davis out with his injury, and Irving will probably average more points per game too.

Kings

Domantas Sabonis is the top Sacramento player, averaging 47.3 fantasy points per game. I have no doubts that Sabonis will continue to power the team the rest of the season as well.

Sabonis could see a decrease in fantasy points per game with Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan and Malik Monk all still around and averaging 34 or more fantasy points per contest.

Warriors

Stephen Curry still leads the Warriors in fantasy points per game (39.6). Jimmy Butler (34.8) is the only other Golden State player who could challenge for that top spot on the team.

I'd be surprised if Curry doesn't lead the way after the All-Star break, as I think having Butler around actually helps his fantasy outlook.

Suns

Kevin Durant powers the Suns, averaging 44.5 fantasy points per contest. Devin Booker is at 42.2 points per game and is capable of leading the team any night.

I still like Durant to lead the way after the break. Of course, Booker is still an elite option, and could help power fantasy teams to greatness too.

Spurs

Victor Wembanyama leads the Spurs at 54.6 fantasy points per game. Much like in the case with Curry, adding a great player (De'Aaron Fox, 42.7 fantasy points per game) to the Spurs is actually a benefit to Wemby.

I like Wembanyama to continue powering the Spurs, and remain a top-five fantasy threat.

Trail Blazers

I was surprised to see Deandre Ayton leading the Trail Blazers at 32.5 fantasy points per contest. Anfernee Simons is at 29.9 points per game, while Deni Avdija is at 29.4 points.

I think Ayton has the best chance of leading Portland the rest of the way, with his rebounds making scoring fantasy points the better option over scorers like Simons and Avdija.

Jazz

Walker Kessler leads the Jazz at 35.4 fantasy points per game after a recent surge up. John Collins is at 34.7 points and Lauri Markkanen has 31.4 points per contest.

I like Kessler to keep things rolling after the All-Star break and think he continues to lead the team. At full strength, Collins and Markkanen cancel each other out a bit, but there's nobody to really take away from Kessler's numbers.

Pelicans

Zion Williamson is the top New Orleans fantasy player left, averaging 44.3 points per game. Dejounte Murray was second at 40.1 points, but he's out for the season.

Trey Murphy III (37.9) could maybe challenge Williamson, but Zion is my pick to lead the Pels the rest of the way.
