Fantasy Football Week 12 Streaming Kickers: Andy Borregales, Harrison Mevis, and More
Three kickers with good matchups in Week 12 who are widely available in fantasy leagues and can be picked up and inserted into your lineup.
I'm going to be straight with you people: we don't have a great outlook of streaming kickers this week. Part of the reason is the bye, as Washington and Miami are two of our favorite targets here but are sitting out this week after playing in Spain in Week 11.
It is also the result of matchups not falling our way, as the kickers going against some of our best targets (the Cowboys, Bears, and Jets, for instance) are already owned in most fantasy leagues. That has us scrambling a bit and changing where we look for possible streamers, but there are still several appealing options below.
Let's look at three kickers with good matchups (or circumstances) in Week 12 who are widely available in fantasy leagues and can be picked up and inserted into your lineup. Most stats are from NFL.com.

Andy Borregales, New England Patriots @ Cincinnati Bengals
Borregales is THE streaming kicker of Week 12. His fantasy ownership has gone up as the Patriots keep winning, but he still has plenty of availability and a fantastic outlook. He could even be a keeper for your roster, as New England has upcoming games against the Giants, Ravens, Jets, and Dolphins, all of whom are vulnerable on defense.
The matchup in this one couldn't be much better, as the Bengals have allowed the 33.4 points per game, four more than any other team in football. It has been a multiyear problem for the Bengals, who allowed the seventh-most points last season and the 12th-most in 2023; there's not much reason for optimism the rest of this year.
New England's offense also keeps doing damage, ranking seventh in points per game (26.5) and watching quarterback Drake Maye turn into a star in real time. The memes about Buffalo missing their window between Patriot dynasties have already started.
Much has also been made about New England's easy schedule, which is a real thing. Miami, Carolina, New Orleans, Tennessee, Cleveland, Atlanta, the Jets; those teams make up nearly 80% of the Pats' wins. They had good victories over the Bills and Bucs, and they can only play who is put in front of them, but there will be questions about the true level of this team.
It won't matter when they keep playing weak teams moving forward, including the Giants, Jets, and Dolphins. We will get real answers about the Patriots once the postseason hits. In the meantime, take advantage of their easy outlook and play guys like Borregales, Maye, and others when the time is right.
Harrison Mevis, Los Angeles Rams vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Most guys who end up on our streaming list don't play for good teams. Kicking streamers generally come from middling-or-worse offenses who have fantastic matchups, but as I mentioned in the open, we are short on that type of player this week.
Shifting our strategy a bit leads to a guy kicking for one of the best offensive teams in football. The Rams have scored the sixth-most points per game and had topped 30 points in three straight before a tougher contest against the Seahawks on Sunday.
Mevis took over for Joshua Karty in Week 10 and continued in Week 11. He didn't get any field goal attempts, but Mevis did make all nine of his extra points, as the Rams found the end zone often (six times in his first game). Karty is still on the roster, but he has struggled in his second season, missing five field goals and three extra points in eight games.
Mevis is likely to start this game again, but if Karty were to play, he would also be an OK low-level streamer considering the lack of good options this week. The rookie Mevis has a chance to cement himself as the kicker for a really good team if he gets more opportunities and executes, something that could make him a sneaky fantasy player the rest of the way. He's not there yet, but there's at least intrigue.
The matchup here is fine, as the Bucs have given up the 12th-most points per game, but I'm more worried about the player in question and the offense propelling him. Consider Mevis for your lineup.
San Francisco 49ers Kicker vs. Carolina Panthers
We will finish with one that's a little bit odd: at the time of this writing, Eddy Pineiro is expected to miss Week 12 (and maybe more time) with a hamstring injury, and the 49ers don't have another kicker on their roster. They will hold tryouts this week and announce a starter when ready.
That leaves plenty of fantasy questions but also a chance for a sneaky streamer, as the 49ers have one of the best offenses in the league when they are humming. Now with Brock Purdy back, San Francisco might look their best moving forward, and the kicker will be a fantasy beneficiary.
This matchup would have looked good on paper before the season, but Carolina has actually been decent on offense, currently tied for the 12th-fewest points per game allowed. They're still not great by any means, and two of their best performances included holding the Falcons and Jets to a combined six points, but I'm not going after the Panthers the way I thought I would at the beginning of the year.
They are still vulnerable enough for an efficient attack in San Francisco to take advantage, though, and I feel good about the 49ers finding success on Monday night against the Panthers. Whoever ends up kicking for San Fran will be in position to put up fantasy points; stay tuned to find out who they choose.
(If you are keen on picking up this prospective player, it's not a bad idea to wait on grabbing any kicker until this guy is announced and instead add an extra skill player you can drop later if needed; always find the smallest advantages!)
