Week 5 Monday Night DraftKings DFS Lineup: Xavier Worthy, Travis Kelce, Travis Etienne and More
Morgan puts together a DFS lineup for the Monday game between the Chiefs and Jaguars.
Week 5 ends on Monday night with a battle between the Kansas City Chiefs and Jacksonville Jaguars.
I wanted to try to get back on track with my DFS lineups, so let's put together a six-player roster on DraftKings for tonight's game.

Captain - Patrick Mahomes ($15,900)
I think Mahomes is the top player in tonight's game, and I was able to strategically open enough money to take him as the captain, meaning he'll score 1.5 times as many points, but also cost 1.5 times more.
Mahomes averages 22.4 fantasy points per game, and despite a bit tougher matchup tonight, I see him putting up enough points to make this a worthwhile pick.
Really, I just need him to account for all the team's scores, and not lose any to running backs. Mahomes is coming off his best performance of the season, and I'm hoping he sets another season high tonight.
Flex - Travis Etienne ($9,800)
Etienne has pretty quietly been a top-end fantasy option so far in 2025. He's averaging 18.2 fantasy points per game so far.
He's got a pretty favorable matchup tonight, so it makes sense that I'd take him after Mahomes. Etienne is my No. 2 fantasy player for tonight, so I'm pretty pleased to get both guys in my lineup.
What I'm hoping for is for Etienne to continue to get enough touches to put up another good fantasy total. It'd also be beneficial if this game wasn't too lopsided, as the closer the game is, the more touches I see him getting.
Flex - Xavier Worthy ($8,800)
Worthy is questionable with shoulder/ankle injuries, but he's expected to play. If he doesn't suit up, you could pivot to several other high-priced players instead - I'd suggest Marquise Brown or JuJu Smith-Schuster.
Worthy played in week 4, totaling 17.1 fantasy points, and that was without a touchdown. He looked like WR1, and I expect more of the same tonight.
It's an above-average matchup here, so I'm going to always try to take a team's top wideout in this scenario. Let's hope his teammates don't steal any touchdowns.
Flex - Dyami Brown ($2,000)
Here is my salary-saving pick to allow me to roster some of these higher-priced guys. Brown has been pretty solid in the early going, averaging 9.7 fantasy points over three games.
I expect him to factor in enough to deliver a good fantasy total tonight. Hopefully he really surprises and ends up being the guy who takes my lineup over the top tonight.
It's a tough matchup overall for the Jaguars receivers, but maybe there will be so much attention on taking away Brian Thomas that a guy like Brown could shine in a secondary role.
Flex - Harrison Butker ($5,400)
We're showing a kicker some love in tonight's lineup. Butker has averaged 11 fantasy points a game, and these kickers can be sneaky good fantasy assets, especially when there's not many great fantasy options otherwise.
He's already attempted 13 field goals and nine extra points, so there's been no shortage of scoring opportunities. I expect Kansas City's offense to move the ball tonight, but Jacksonville's defense is no joke, so anytime Mahomes isn't having a hand in a TD, I'm hoping Butker can knock in a few kicks.
Flex - Travis Kelce ($7,600)
I'm not a huge fan of Kelce from a fantasy football perspective, but I had some money to spend, so I splurged a bit with the aging tight end.
He averages 9.8 fantasy points a game, so it's not like he couldn't help my team out some. I'm hoping he turns in his best performance of the season tonight, which could help my lineup out immensely.
The matchup is really just below average for Kelce. I'm hoping any touchdown passes that don't go to Worthy end up in Kelce's hands. If any other Chiefs' player scores, I'm not sure if this lineup will fare super well.
Final Thoughts
There's really not many great fantasy options tonight, which makes it tough to put together a DFS lineup. Really what that means is that there's a ton of DFS lineup options.
I like this setup the best, as I see all these guys as pretty safe fantasy options, with solid floors and good upsides. There's really not many big risks I'm taking, and I should be guaranteed a good amount of points because of Mahomes, Etienne and Butker.
So I'm looking for those three to at least average what they have so far this season, then needing Worthy, Brown and Kelce to deliver some season-best marks.
