Week 3 of the NFL regular season is nearly up, which means it'll soon be time to put fantasy football waiver wire claims in.

Let's look over some waiver wire tight ends in this article.

Should You Add Hunter Henry?

Henry will be on the rise after a big showing in week 3.

He went for 90 yards and two scores on eight catches and 11 targets. Henry played 60 offensive snaps, which was 81% of the team's total - that was the most of any non-QB or offensive linemen.

It was Henry's second big fantasy performance over the first three weeks. He posted 66 yards on four grabs and eight targets in week 1.

Unfortunately, he was held to a nine-yard catch across three targets in week 2, so there's a consistency issue when discussing the Pats' tight end.

I've been a fan of Henry for a couple years, and think he goes overlooked quite often. Sure, he's not the most consistent fantasy pass catcher, but on a team lacking proven guys, Henry is a solid option most weeks.

Henry and the Pats face the Panthers in week 4. That's been an above-average matchup for tight ends so far, so it's a great time to add and utilize Henry.

Should You Add Dalton Kincaid?

Kincaid will be back on the rise after a nice outing back on Thursday night.

He went for 66 yards and a score on five catches and six targets. Kincaid played 33 offensive snaps, which was 55% of the team's total.

Kincaid has been pretty consistent, but unspectacular, through three weeks. He has at least four catches and 37 yards across the first three games. Kincaid has between 4-6 targets in each game as well.

I like what Kincaid has done in the early going, but there's no denying that his two scores are driving up his fantasy value right now. Him only playing 51% of the team's offensive snaps so far is a bit concerning, and without a big performance, a lot of fantasy owners are just going to skip him.

However, with a score in two of the three games and some decent production in each contest, Kincaid is a bit better fantasy asset than one might originally think. He may not have the fantasy ceiling others do, but his fantasy floor might be a touch higher than most of the other waiver wire tight ends, and a couple points can save fantasy owners in tight matchups.

Weigh your options and determine if you can gamble on a higher-upside tight end, or if a steady and higher floor might benefit your squad more.

Should You Add Brenton Strange?

Strange is another tight end who performed pretty well in week 3 and has two decent fantasy outputs over three tries.

He went for 61 yards on six receptions and seven targets this week. Strange played 58 offensive snaps, which was 83% of the team's total - again, that was a high mark for any RB, WR or TE.

Strange was also pretty good in week 1, when he had 59 yards on four grabs and targets. He had a bit of a dud in between weeks 1 and 3, only going for 17 yards on three catches and five targets.

While Strange hasn't scored yet, he's been pretty involved in every game for the Jaguars. What I like most about his fantasy outlook is that he's played 84% of the team's offensive snaps so far.

He's a pretty solid fantasy asset already, and could improve his fantasy stock as the season moves along. More games like he had in weeks 1 and 3 will help him be rostered in more fantasy leagues.

Week 4 will be a pretty nice matchup against the 49ers, although it's only slightly above average to this point of the season. If Strange delivers in that one, you can expect his own percentage to really soar.

Should You Add Chig Okonkwo?

Okonkwo had his best showing of the season in week 3.

He went for 66 yards on five receptions and six targets. Okonkwo played 46 snaps, which was 66% of the team's total snaps. He trailed three RBs/WRs in snaps.

Okonkwo only had 19 yards on three catches and four targets in week 1, then 35 yards on four grabs and six targets in week 2, so it was a positive step for the Titans' tight end. He was due for some better gains on his receptions, and that happened in week 3.

He's looking like a pretty solid option for week 4. Okonkwo will face the Texans this coming week, which has been a pretty average test for tight ends so far.

A nice showing in that one will really help him get added in fantasy leagues, but he's already a streaming option in all formats for week 4. I maybe don't like him as much as some of the other tight ends we're discussing today, but if you miss out on some others, Okonkwo is a nice fallback option.

Should You Add Dallas Goedert?

Goedert returned from a week 2 absence and caught a touchdown. The only problem was that it was his lone catch in the contest.

He was targeted just twice, and hauled in one for a 33-yard score. Goedert ended up playing 61 offensive snaps, which was 91% of the team's total, so he wasn't eased back into things at all.

Goedert had 44 yards on seven catches and targets back in week 1, so that's two solid PPR fantasy totals in as many tries this season. He's played 87% of the offensive snaps in those two games, which is another positive.

Goedert might be the third-best pass catcher in Philly, but with not much depth behind those three, he's a better fantasy asset than most other No. 3 options on teams.

The Philly offense got rolling a bit this week, and maybe will hit a groove going forward now. Goedert will be involved in some fashion if he's healthy, so he's a nice fantasy asset to try here and there.

He gets the Bucs in week 4. Tampa Bay has limited tight ends really well so far, so this might not be a great time to utilize him. He'll still rank pretty highly for me in my weekly TE rankings (check back later this week for that).

Should You Add Isaiah Likely?

Likely has yet to play this season, but week 4 has been pegged as his potential return.

Mark Andrews is the Ravens' top tight end, but struggled through the first two weeks. We'll see if he gets going at all on Monday.

Likely had 477 yards and six scores across 16 regular season games last season, so even with Andrews around, he's capable of producing for fantasy owners. With Andrews not doing much early on, there's a chance for Likely to take the TE1 job there and emerge as a good weekly option.

That makes Likely worth an add in some deeper leagues, at the very least. He's a nice stash-and-hold option, with some upside down the road. If you have been lacking at tight end, or are in a deep enough league, then adding Likely makes plenty of sense.

Should You Add Harold Fannin

Fannin is the last fantasy TE I want to discuss this week.

He had a down showing in week 3, but his usage wasn't terrible. Fannin caught three of his four targets for 25 yards. He played 42 offensive snaps, which was 64% of the team's total.

Fannin had 63 yards on seven grabs and nine targets in week 1 - he also rushed once for three more yards. The rookie TE went for 48 yards on five receptions and targets in week 2.

He's played 67% of the offensive snaps so far, so he appears to have a pretty defined role, and likely will stick around offensively for the Browns all season. Even as the No. 2 tight end on the team, he's getting enough snaps and targets to be a useful fantasy tight end.

Fannin will go up against the Lions in week 4. Not including Detroit's Monday night game, the Lions' defense has proved to be a tough test on opposing tight ends so far.

I'd still be inclined to play Fannin in a decent amount of fantasy leagues. The deeper the league, the better the option he becomes.
