Fantasy Basketball Weekly Projections & Streaming Targets
Weekly projections meet waiver wire strategy as we break down the best fantasy basketball adds and streamers by position.
A new week of fantasy basketball is here, so it's time to go over weekly projections and identify some of my favorite adds/streaming options.
I will pick a player at each position to consider adding for the coming week.

Waiver wire options can be found all season on FantasySP!
Point Guard
Scoot Henderson is the point guard to consider adding/streaming for the coming week. He's projected for 27 fantasy points and has games on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday - it's a shorter week with the All-Star break coming up, so three games is a rarity.
Henderson recently returned from a long layoff. He played on Friday and then got off on Saturday. In his first game back, he logged 21 minutes off the bench, posting 11 points, nine assists, five rebounds and one steal.
That shows what the young guard can do while on the court, now it's just a matter of staying healthy and stacking good fantasy performances. He might continue to sit back-to-back outings for a bit, but in time, his minutes and production could go up.
He's sitting around 45% owned right now, and it's going to be hard for him to get much higher than that if he's still missing some games. I do like the idea of adding Henderson in deeper leagues today, but that'd really only be for the fantasy teams that don't need a daily starter.
You can start him for the days he's active, and just bench him for any games he's not active for. If you have an injured reserve spot to utilize, then that's even more reason to add the young Portland guard.
Don't wait too long on adding Henderson, because he likely won't last super long on the waiver wire, especially if he keeps delivering like he did in his first game back.
Shooting Guard
Devin Vassell is a shooting guard I'd consider for the coming week. He has two games, playing Tuesday and Wednesday, and is set for 24 fantasy points.
Vassell has been a pretty steady fantasy force this season. At 73% rostered right now, he's more of a standard league streaming option than anything else.
He's averaging 14.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.4 blocks over 31.1 minutes a game. Vassell is shooting 42.1% overall and he's 35.6% from 3-point land.
Vassell missed time in late December and through late January, but he's back and has played in seven straight contests. He's scored in double figures in all but two of those games. Vassell wasn't doing much else right away, but of late, he's been adding a healthy amount of rebounds, assists, steals and blocks.
His averages aren't super great, but there's enough in them to consider him daily as a streaming option. With a couple games this week, it's another good time to add the Spurs' guard.
Most importantly, he's logged 29 or more minutes in three of the past five games, which ups his fantasy value some. As long as he's delivering, he's a streaming asset, and some of you could probably benefit from adding/holding Vassell right now.
Look into him, assess your team and see how you should be approaching Vassell.
Small Forward
Tobias Harris is the small forward I'm going to highlight. He has two games (Monday and Wednesday) and is projected for 25 fantasy points.
Harris is another pretty steady force, so he's in a similar category to Vassell, being worth daily standard league streams, while being holdable for others.
He's averaging 13.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.2 blocks over 27.6 minutes per game. Harris is shooting 45.8% overall and he's 36% from deep.
Harris has scored in double figures in seven straight appearances. He's only failed to reach double digits in eight of his 35 games overall. Harris is a pretty good source for rebounds, and he usually tacks on a couple assists, steals or blocks to provide some decent fantasy value.
He's averaged 14.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 steals over 28.4 minutes a game in that seven-game stretch, so his value is a bit up now. Take advantage of that while he's in a hot stretch.
He's not a must-own player in standard leagues, but he should be rostered in all deeper leagues. Harris is worth streaming, especially in good matchups, and when Detroit is without some other big-time players. Again, some could benefit from adding and holding Harris, so look into that.
Power Forward
Jerami Grant is the power forward I'd heavily insist on adding/streaming. He's projected for 26 fantasy points and has games on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Grant has been in a groove of late, which is part of the reason why I'd want to add him for the coming week. He's been a pretty good asset all season, so he's a hold in deeper leagues and a streaming option in standard leagues, with some fantasy owners benefiting from just holding him continuously in those leagues.
He's averaging 19.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 0.6 steals and blocks over 29.1 minutes a game this season. Grant is shooting 44% overall and he's 38.2% from deep.
Over his past three games, he's scored 23, 23 and 29 points. He has nine rebounds and assists and one steal and block over those contests as well.
He's definitely in a good groove right now, and that makes Grant worth streaming/adding in more standard leagues than usual. At least ride the wave for a little bit with Grant.
Of course, you'll also want to be watching his game logs, and then move off him in some leagues when his production tapers off a bit. But especially in a week where he plays three times, it's a great time to add and utilize Grant.
Center
Jusuf Nurkic is the center I'd be looking into for the coming week. He's projected for 31 fantasy points and has games on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Nurkic can be a fantasy force in a couple ways. Overall this season, he's averaging 11 points, 10.3 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.5 blocks over 26.5 minutes a game. He's shooting 50.1% overall and he's 35.3% from 3-point land.
Of course, the two stats I'm talking about him being a fantasy force in are points and rebounds. Being a double-double threat is a huge thing in fantasy basketball. He's adding enough else to be worth holding in a lot of leagues.
He's missed some games of late, but has mostly been great when he's been out there. The lone exception was his last game, when he scored just three points. He did have 14 rebounds, six assists and a steal and block to still be a solid fantasy asset though.
Dating back to late December, Nurkic has played in 14 of the team's 26 games. That inconsistent availability holds him back from being rostered in 100% of leagues.
Across 30.3 minutes a game in that stretch of play, Nurkic is averaging 15.5 points, 11.7 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.9 blocks per game. He's shooting 54.1% overall and 48.5% from deep.
It's frustrating that he's missing so many games, but when he's out there, he can be a high-end fantasy talent. He had a stretch where he delivered three straight triple-doubles in that span.
Nurkic needs to be watched daily. He's worth adding/streaming for the games he's active for. If you have an IR spot to utilize, then I think Nurkic needs to be owned in your league. Yes, you'll have to be diligent in watching his playing status, but Nurkic could be a massive help to your fantasy squad.
