NBA DFS Lineup for Christmas: Jamal Murray, Julius Randle, Mikal Bridges and More
Morgan puts together a DFS lineup for five NBA games on Christmas.
There's a break in the NBA regular season today before five big-time matchups on Christmas. Let's put together a DFS lineup for the day!
This eight-player lineup has a $50,000 budget. Let's see what we can come up with!

Point Guard - Jamal Murray ($8,600)
I opened this DFS lineup by taking Denver's Murray at point guard.
He is averaging 44.5 fantasy points per contest for the season, and has scored 64.2 and 46.5 over the past two games.
Murray's matchup against Minnesota is an above-average one. He scored 51 fantasy points in one contest against the Timberwolves this season, while tallying 56.5 in another. If he does that again, we'll be in great shape with this lineup.
Shooting Guard - Reed Sheppard ($5,100)
Sheppard is a way to save a little salary at the shooting guard spot.
He is averaging 27 fantasy points per game on the season. He has 16.2 and 24 fantasy points over his past two games.
Sheppard's matchup against the Lakers is pretty average. He has not faced LA this season.
Small Forward - Mikal Bridges ($6,900)
Bridges gets the nod at small forward for this DFS lineup.
He is averaging 34.5 fantasy points per contest this season. He had just 18.8 in his last game, but was at 34.5 or more points in the three contests before that.
A matchup against the Cavaliers is great for Bridges, so he could shine in this contest. Bridges racked up 41.8 fantasy points in the first game of the season against Cleveland.
Power Forward - Julius Randle ($8,800)
Randle was my choice at power forward.
He is averaging 42.2 fantasy points per game on the season. He scored 37.5 in his last contest, but had just 26.8 in the game before that.
Denver is a favorable matchup for him, so I see Randle delivering big on Christmas. He scored 42.8 fantasy points in the first game against the Nuggets this season, then tallied 49 fantasy points in the most recent outing. Another 40+ point showing is what I'm hoping for.
Center - Quinten Post ($4,600)
Post is another way to save some salary for this DFS lineup.
He is averaging just 18.5 fantasy points per game on the season, but scored 31 fantasy points in his last outing. Post has logged 25 or more minutes in three straight games, and he's been over 20 fantasy points in seven of his past eight contests, so he's trending up.
A favorable matchup against the Mavericks is what Post gets on Christmas. He hasn't faced them yet this season, but I'm expecting big things from Post on Thursday.
Guard - Brandin Podziemski ($5,200)
I went with another pretty lowly-priced Warrior here at guard with Podziemski.
He is averaging 25.9 fantasy points per game on the season. Podz has scored 24.8 or more fantasy points in four straight contests, and has two 30+ point showings in that stretch.
His test against the Mavericks is pretty average. I think he could deliver a 30+ point showing in his first game against Dallas this season.
Forward - Dean Wade ($4,300)
Wade is another way to save to make one final splash.
Wade is averaging 16.2 fantasy points per game on the season, but has scored 24.2 and 27.8 fantasy points over the past two contests. Hopefully he can continue his upward trend tomorrow.
His matchup against the Knicks is just below average. He scored 18 fantasy points in the first game of the season against New York. I see another 20+ point showing in this matchup.
Utility - Donte DiVincenzo ($6,500)
DiVincenzo gets the flex spot for this DFS lineup.
He is averaging 29.4 fantasy points per game on the season, but has racked up 30.5 and 34.8 fantasy points over his past two contests. He has 30 or more fantasy points in five of the past six contests.
His matchup against Denver is below average, but with his recent trend, I am confident enough to start him. DiVincenzo has scored 24.8 and 18.2 fantasy points in two games against the Nuggets this season.
Final Thoughts
I like the final look of this DFS lineup.
Murray and Randle are the two-best fantasy assets on paper, but Bridges and DiVincenzo could deliver really good fantasy totals too.
Ideally, I get 40+ points from Murray and Randle, and maybe closer to 100 fantasy points combined.
Getting 30+ points from Sheppard, Bridges, Podziemski and DiVincenzo is also doable, then 20+ points from Post and Wade should put me in a great spot to compare for the top spot in the DFS contest.
There's plenty of options across the five-game Christmas slate, so see what kind of lineup you can come up with. Best of luck with those DFS lineups, and enjoy the Christmas games!
