Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Targets for April 8: Davion Mitchell, Keon Ellis, Isaiah Stewart and More

There were just two NBA games played on Monday, April 7.

We'll go over the top fantasy basketball performances from waiver wire options in those games, then look at the most-added fantasy players from the FantasySP list.

With a lack of games last night, I'll also throw a couple waiver wire names at you who are projected for a good amount of fantasy points on April 8.

Kings 127, Pistons 117

Jonas Valanciunas, owned in 70% of fantasy leagues right now, totaled 10 points, 12 rebounds and one block and assist in just 12 minutes off the bench.

Ausar Thompson, rostered in 85% of leagues, posted 15 points, five assists, four rebounds, two steals and one block across 29 minutes. 

Jalen Duren, available in 5% of leagues, went for six points and assists, nine rebounds, two blocks and one steal in nearly 20 minutes.

Isaiah Stewart, owned in 26% of leagues, had eight points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two blocks across 28 minutes off the bench.

Heat 117, 76ers 105

Kel'el Ware, rostered in 69% of leagues, tallied 19 points, 17 rebounds, two assists and one steal and block in 34 minutes.

Duncan Robinson, owned in 20% of leagues, added 21 points, two rebounds and one block and assist across 25 minutes off the bench.

Davion Mitchell, rostered in 53% of leagues, contributed 12 points, nine assists, four rebounds and one steal and block over 35 minutes off the bench.

Kyle Anderson, owned in 11% of leagues, recorded eight points and rebounds, six assists and two blocks in 25 minutes off the bench. 

Pelle Larsson, rostered in 9% of leagues, went for 12 points, three steals and rebounds and two assists in 26 minutes.

Quentin Grimes, available in 3% of leagues, ended the game with 29 points, eight rebounds, six assists and one steal in nearly 38 minutes.

Adem Bona, owned in 56% of leagues, had 16 points, 11 rebounds, three blocks and one assist and steal over 34 minutes.

Lonnie Walker IV, rostered in 17% of leagues, totaled 29 points, two assists and a rebound across 39 minutes.

Jared Butler, owned in 46% of leagues, added eight points, four steals and assists and three rebounds in 25 minutes.

Top Waiver Wire Adds

Miami's Mitchell is the top waiver wire add at the time of publication. He's up 4.12%.

Miami's Terry Rozier, Alec Burks, Haywood Highsmith and Anderson also on the 25-player waiver list. 

Rozier is up 4.01% and now sits at 42.86% overall. Burks is at 4.08% overall after a 2.17% bump. Highsmith is up 1.86% and is now owned in 7.59% of leagues, while Anderson is up 1.84%.

Sacramento's Keon Ellis is rostered in 30.38% of leagues after a 3.63% increase. Detroit's Stewart is up 3.56%, while teammates Marcus Sasser (up 1.87%, 6.33% overall) and Ron Holland II (up 1.7%, 6.8% overall) are also on the list.

Washington's Khris Middleton was added in 3.3% of leagues, bringing his total mark to 61.9%. Teammate Bub Carrington is up to 56.96% owned after a 2.18% boost.

Atlanta's Clint Capela was added in 3.12% of leagues and is now rostered in 44.52% overall. Teammate Jalen Johnson is up 2.28% and is now at 39.46% overall.

Portland's Jerami Grant got a 2.78% boost to 53.78% overall. Milwaukee's Bobby Portis is now rostered in 40.14% of leagues after a 2.56% increase.

Philly's Bona was added in 2.2% of leagues. Walker is up 1.8%, while Butler got added in 1.62% of leagues. Philly's Guerschon Yabusele (up 1.89%, 49.66% overall) and Joel Embiid (up 1.85%, 48.98% overall) also made the waiver list today.

Indiana's Obi Toppin is up 2.07% today, bringing his overall percentage to 22.45. Golden State's Buddy Hield was added in 2.06% of leagues and he's now up to 52.38% rostered.

Toronto's Ochai Agbaji was added in 1.94% of leagues, bringing his total mark to 20.41%. Brooklyn's Ziaire Williams is up 1.78% to 27.89% overall.

New Orleans' Herbert Jones is rostered in 17.01% of leagues after a 1.72% increase. 

Top Projected Waiver Player for April 8

Brooklyn's Nicolas Claxton is at 89% owned and is projected for 29 fantasy points against the Pelicans.

Golden State's Brandin Podziemski is projected for 29 points against the Suns and is owned in 83% of leagues.

New Orleans' Yves Missi is rostered in 60% of leagues and is set for 28 points against the Nets.

Memphis' Zach Edey is projected for 27 points against the Hornets and is rostered in 70% of leagues.

Minnesota's Jaden McDaniels is owned in 76% of leagues and is set for 27 points against the Bucks.

Milwaukee's Portis is set for 27 fantasy points in his return to the court against the Timberwolves. He was suspended for the team's past 25 games.

Milwaukee's Kyle Kuzma (89% rostered) and Washington's Alexandre Sarr (84%) are projected for 26 fantasy points each. New Orleans' Jose Alvarado (36%) and Atlanta's Caris LeVert (65%) are projected for 25 fantasy points each.
