Rookie Sensation Blaze Jordan Grabs Cardinals' Third Base Job After Red-Hot Debut

Blaze Jordan has enjoyed a dream start to his big-league career, hitting .417 with a home run and four RBIs in his first three games after being promoted to the second-place Cardinals. St. Louis cleared a path for him by optioning Nolan Gorman and moving Ramon Urias to the 60-day injured list, instantly installing Jordan as their everyday starting third baseman.

While Jordan's massive 1.250 OPS over his first 12 major league at-bats is a classic small-sample-size mirage, his underlying talent is legitimate after slashing .313/.373/.548 with 11 homers in Triple-A. Our models expect some natural regression, but his light-tower power and secured everyday role give him highly sustainable mixed-league appeal.

St. Louis has six games scheduled this week, starting with a home series against San Diego where Jordan faces vulnerable starters like Lucas Giolito and Griffin Canning. Fantasy managers should salivate over Canning's 7.17 ERA, making Jordan an excellent option before the team heads to Kansas City. Start Jordan with confidence while he is swinging a red-hot bat.
