Emerging infielder offers steady contact and lineup security in Chicago

Chase Meidroth enters his sophomore season firmly entrenched as the everyday starter at second base for the White Sox. After showcasing solid plate discipline and establishing himself as a reliable contact hitter during his rookie year, the 24-year-old has locked down a prominent role near the top of the Chicago batting order. His defensive versatility also provides the club with premium infield depth, keeping his bat in the lineup almost daily.

From a category perspective, our models project Meidroth to be a high-floor asset who won't sink your batting average. Our projection has him slated for 466 at-bats, where he is expected to hit .251 with a healthy .325 on-base percentage. While his seven projected home runs represent modest power, he offsets the low slugging ceiling with decent speed, projected for seven stolen bases, and strong run-scoring potential. He is a high-contact hitter who minimizes strikeouts and keeps the line moving.

For fantasy managers, Meidroth serves as a highly reliable middle-infield option, particularly in PPR or points-based formats where his walk-to-strikeout ratio shines. He may lack the elite raw power of other top-tier second basemen, but his guaranteed playing time and premium lineup spot make him an incredibly safe target to stabilize your team's batting average and runs categories.

Outlook Blaze Jordan

Rookie Sensation Blaze Jordan Grabs Cardinals' Third Base Job After Red-Hot Debut

Blaze Jordan has enjoyed a dream start to his big-league career, hitting .417 with a home run and four RBIs in his first three games after being promoted to the second-place Cardinals. St. Louis cleared a path for him by optioning Nolan Gorman and moving Ramon Urias to the 60-day injured list, instantly installing Jordan as their everyday starting third baseman.

While Jordan's massive 1.250 OPS over his first 12 major league at-bats is a classic small-sample-size mirage, his underlying talent is legitimate after slashing .313/.373/.548 with 11 homers in Triple-A. Our models expect some natural regression, but his light-tower power and secured everyday role give him highly sustainable mixed-league appeal.

St. Louis has six games scheduled this week, starting with a home series against San Diego where Jordan faces vulnerable starters like Lucas Giolito and Griffin Canning. Fantasy managers should salivate over Canning's 7.17 ERA, making Jordan an excellent option before the team heads to Kansas City. Start Jordan with confidence while he is swinging a red-hot bat.
