Outlook Kris Bubic
Kris Bubic Begins Rehab Assignment as He Progresses from Elbow Injury
Sidelined on the injured list with left elbow soreness since mid-May, Bubic is finally making forward progress, having recently been cleared to start a minor league rehab assignment in Triple-A. The fourth-place Royals, currently sitting at 28-40, could use his arm back in the rotation soon, especially with fellow starter Seth Lugo recently popping up as questionable on the health report.
Prior to the injury, Bubic compiled a 4.19 ERA and 1.26 WHIP in nine starts. Our season-long projection targets a return to form with a 3.48 ERA and 1.21 WHIP, more in line with the excellent 2.68 ERA he posted last year. His ugly 11.25 ERA over his lone outing in the last 30 days is a clear injury-induced fluke, and his career track record suggests he will be a highly productive starter once fully built back up.
Because he is in the early stages of his rehab assignment, Bubic will not pitch for Kansas City during this week's matchups against Texas and Houston, leaving him with a blank weekly projection. He should remain stashed on fantasy injured reserve spots until he completes his ramp-up and is officially activated. Verdict: Sit.

Outlook Logan Henderson
Historic rookie run paused as Logan Henderson lands on the IL with back strain
The first-place Brewers (41-25) have built a solid division lead, but they must soldier on without their rising star. Logan Henderson was off to a historic start to his career, posting a 0.90 ERA and 14 strikeouts over 10 innings in his last 30 days of active play. However, he is currently sidelined on the 15-day injured list with a lower back strain and is targeting a late June return.
Henderson's success is supported by stellar numbers, including a 2.74 ERA and 1.04 WHIP across 23 innings this year. While our rest-of-season projection expects minor regression to a 3.86 ERA and 1.18 WHIP, his strikeout-per-nine rate remains elite at 11.74. This indicates his dominance is real, making him a crucial piece to keep stashed.
With the week of June 8 underway and Henderson on the shelf, he will not record any starts against Oakland or Philadelphia. There is no immediate matchup impact, so fantasy managers should keep him locked into an IL slot. We recommend keeping him sidelined for now but holding onto him for his massive second-half potential.
