Injury Recovery and Rookie Competition Cloud Former Lead Back's Fantasy Value

Zach Charbonnet is recovering from a January ACL tear. While head coach Mike Macdonald holds out hope for a Week 1 return, his availability for the start of the season is highly questionable. This recovery timeline severely dampens his early-season fantasy outlook.

Seattle used a first-round pick on rookie Jadarian Price, who is positioned to take over as the team's primary runner. Even though Charbonnet is listed atop the initial depth chart, our projections expect him to share the workload, anticipating 100 carries and 15 receptions as he works his way back into a committee role.

His draft cost has plummeted accordingly, with his ADP dropping from near 102 in May down to 143 in June. At this deflated price, he has shifted from an overvalued asset into a low-risk bench stash with handcuff upside, though his ceiling remains capped in PPR formats.
