After checking out some fantasy basketball waiver wire options on Monday and Tuesday, let's go over a round of drop candidates.

More drops can be found daily on the FantasySP waiver trends most dropped tab, which can be found on any fantasy basketball page on the site.

Should You Drop Jake LaRavia?

LaRavia is down 8.3% today, which brings his overall mark down to 61%.

After being a pretty good fantasy asset in the early going, he's starting to regress a bit. He has only played 23 and 24 minutes over the past two games, and has scored in single digits in two of the past three contests.

He's averaging 11.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.2 blocks over 29.3 minutes in 11 games so far. LaRavia is shooting 52.8% overall and he's 37.8% from 3-point land.

When he was playing more than half of games, his fantasy value was up. Now that he's seen a decrease in minutes, it should be no surprise that his numbers have fallen off a bit.

LeBron James is set to return soon, so LaRavia's role and usage will take another hit then. I still expect LaRavia to play, but I'm not sure he'll play enough minutes to have some fantasy value.

I only like him in deeper leagues at this point, and he's not a locked-in starter anymore depending on the rest of your fantasy roster. He's a player to keep tabs on all year, but when the Lakers are at or near full strength, LaRavia is likely to just be a deep-league fantasy asset.

Should You Drop Anthony Black?

Black is rostered in 30% of leagues after a 7.9% decrease today.

He started and played 32 minutes in his last game, but only produced eight points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal. Black has only started twice this season, but is averaging 26.7 minutes per contest, which is enough for deep-league ownership and usage.

However, with averages of just 10.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.7 blocks, he's not a locked-in deep-league asset. Black is shooting 44.7% overall and just 28.9% on his 3-pointers.

Black has failed to score in double figures in four of the five games this month, after hitting double digits in four of the six games in October. I wouldn't write him off for good, but Black is being dropped due to his performances this month.

There's a chance he bounces back and becomes a really good deep-league asset again, but I don't think he'll ever get to standard league ownership. He's also droppable in deeper leagues when his production falls, like it has recently.

Move on from Black in some deeper leagues, but keep him on your watch list in case he heats up again sometime.

Should You Drop Jeremy Sochan?

Sochan is down 5.9% and sits at just 16% overall now.

Sochan missed every San Antonio game in October, and the first one in November. In four games played this month, he has logged just 68 minutes, including just 10 in his last appearance.

Sochan has 27 points, eight rebounds, six assists, three steals and two blocks in his time on the court. He's shooting 55.6% overall and has made 1-of-5 3-pointers, but he's just not doing enough to roster in many leagues.

He's been a good fantasy asset in the past, so I'm not writing him off for good, but for now, he's only worth owning in super deep leagues, and he's probably not even startable in those right now.

We'll see if he can ever turn things around. A change of scenery might be his best path to fantasy production in the weeks and years to come.

Should You Drop D'Angelo Russell?

Russell is way down to 54% rostered - he opened the year near 100%. Russell is down 5.9% today.

The start to the season hasn't gone like many expected for Russell. He has made just three starts across 11 games, and has only topped 20 minutes in five contests.

He's averaging 21.1 minutes a game, along with 11.5 points, 2.9 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.2 blocks. Russell is shooting just 37.3% overall and 27.8% from deep.

His fantasy value has dried up, and he shouldn't be owned in any standard leagues now as a result. Right now, he's not even a good deep-league asset.

He hasn't scored in double figures in any of the past four contests. Russell adds a bit more than points, but he simply isn't playing enough to have very much fantasy upside.

I'd move on from him in deeper leagues where fantasy squads are off to slower starts, or if you simply need that roster spot to be more productive. You could look to trade him, but don't expect much in return.

There's a chance he turns things around, or gets a change of scenery to jumpstart things, but Russell's fantasy value is falling quickly. I think he's got more gas in the tank, but he's not a very good fantasy asset right now.

Should You Drop Herbert Jones?

Jones has been let go in 5.3% of leagues, which brings his overall mark down to 51%.

Jones has been up and down as a fantasy performer this season, but had mostly been good in November. He is coming off a game in which he produced seven points, four assists, two rebounds and a steal over 28 minutes.

He's averaging 10.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.2 blocks over 30 minutes for the season, so that performance wasn't too far off his season averages.

It's disappointing that Jones isn't shining right now, because Dejounte Murray, Jordan Poole and Zion Williamson are all out with injuries. Their returns will make life tougher for Jones to be a good fantasy asset.

Right now, he's only worth deep-league ownership and starts, and that might remain for the rest of the season if the Pelicans get healthy and stay healthy.

I'd keep rostering him in deeper leagues, and only drop him if more single-digit scoring outputs occur consistently. He's not a locked-in daily starter, but he does enough to own and utilize in most deeper leagues.

Should You Drop Naz Reid?

Reid is rostered in 76% of leagues after a 4.3% dropoff today.

He has taken a step back this season, and has really struggled of late, with single-digit scoring outputs in three of the past four contests.

Reid is averaging 10.8 points, 5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.9 steals and blocks over 23.5 minutes in 11 games so far. His minutes are down from last year, and his averages across the board are suffering as a result. His shooting percentages are also way down, so he's been a draft bust so far.

I get standard league owners wanting or needing to drop him. I still think he'll be a good fantasy asset at times this season, so I'd try to hold him as long as I could. Move on from him if you need that roster spot to be competitive though.

Definitely keep rostering him in deeper leagues. Depending on how you view him going forward, now could be a time to sell him high in those leagues. His trade value is down from the start of the season, but on his name and past production alone, you could still probably get a pretty solid return for Reid in deeper leagues.

Keep an eye on him in case he picks things up moving forward. For now, he's a player to avoid in standard league starting lineups, and maybe rosters overall. We'll see if he can turn things on soon.
