We went over some fantasy basketball waiver wire options already, and now are going to point out some possible drop candidates.

Here is the last drop candidate story we did.

Should You Drop Derrick Jones Jr.

Jones has been dropped in 8.3% of fantasy leagues, bringing his overall mark down to 34%. He was part of  Thursday's waiver wire story I did, so he's lost most own percentage he gained that day.

After we highlighted Jones on Thursday morning, he went out and tallied 10 points, one rebound, one steal and one block over just 22 minutes.

His playing time was down from the past three games, and he also committed four fouls. Jones has now scored in double figures in four straight games, so he has that still going for him at least.

I noted yesterday how I didn't expect him to get into standard leagues, but that I liked him in deeper leagues. He did OK on Thursday, but his drastic dropoff today almost makes it seem like he was added as a streaming option.

With averages of 11.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1 block, 0.9 assists and 0.6 steals over 24.1 minutes a game so far, there's enough in those numbers for some deep-league ownership still. I get he wasn't the best on Thursday, but I don't think that performance warrants a drastic dropoff like he's experiencing.

Keep streaming Jones in deeper leagues until he cools down from the floor, and keep rostering him in some deeper leagues for a good portion of the season.

Should You Drop Collin Gillespie?

Gillespie is rostered in 56% of leagues after a 7.7% decrease today.

While Jones was being dropped after a so-so performance, Gillespie is being dropped for actual down performances. He has totaled nine points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists and two steals over 46 minutes in his last two games combined.

He had been in double figures as a scorer in four straight games before that, and five of the past six contests. He still has been delivering pretty well-rounded fantasy efforts, so I liked rostering and utilizing him in deeper leagues.

I think there's better options available in standard leagues, or at least more consistent ones. Gillespie can be a decent streaming option in those leagues when he's in a groove, so don't write him off for good.

I still like rostering him in most deeper leagues with those well-rounded efforts. You could look into buying him a bit low in some deeper formats, if you like his outlook moving forward.

Should You Drop Bradley Beal?

Beal was let go in 5.5% of leagues, bringing his overall mark to 47%.

Beal is a talented player, but availability and consistency have escaped him over the past couple years. He's played five of the team's eight games so far, and been mostly a below-average fantasy asset so far.

He's scored in double figures just once, and is shooting 35.9% overall and 33.3% from 3-point land so far. He has 37 points, seven assists, five rebounds and two steals over his five games and 101 minutes.

I understand he's a bigger name and has had big seasons in the past, but right now, Beal should be nowhere near standard leagues, and he's not even worth owning in all deeper leagues.

Some will look to stash him in hopes that he turns things around, but if you need that roster spot to produce immediately, I'd cut my losses and move on from Beal.

His best fantasy days are in the past, and I'm not sure he'll ever get back to a point where he's even worth rostering in all deeper leagues, let alone any standard setups.

Should You Drop Ryan Dunn?

Dunn is owned in 47% of leagues after 4.4% of fantasy owners dropped him today.

Dunn was another guy who looked pretty solid in his last game, so I don't understand why he's being dropped. He posted 10 points, five rebounds, three assists and a block and steal over nearly 25 minutes off the bench.

Maybe some fantasy owners dropped him after he came off the bench for the first time, but he still delivered enough to stick in most deeper leagues. He's scored in double figures in four straight games, and adds enough else usually.

I understand dropping him if you were using him as a streamer, but he should be scooped up by other deep-league teams if he becomes available. I think he will stick as a pretty solid deep-league asset most of the season.

Should You Drop Bilal Coulibaly?

Coulibaly is rostered in 58% of leagues now. He is down 4.3% and once was as high as 79.9%.

Coulibaly returned to the court in late October, after missing the first four games with an injury. He is now out with a leg injury and won't play on Friday, so he's being dropped again.

In his first three games back, he had 41 points, 17 rebounds, 10 assists, four steals and four blocks, while playing between 24-27 minutes. He only had a point, three assists and two rebounds over 16 minutes in his last game, and now has the injury to deal with.

Coulibaly is a talented player and can be a solid fantasy asset when he's available, but injuries are starting to knock his fantasy value down. Hopefully the injury doesn't keep him out long, otherwise he will have to re-gain the trust of fantasy owners again.

When he's right, he's worth some standard league ownership, even if it's just as a streaming option. He's a pretty solid deep-league option even when he isn't at his peak.

He's a player to keep an eye on, but for now, he's not worth rostering in standard leagues, and if he misses extended time again, Coulibaly might be dropped in some deeper leagues as well.

Should You Drop Rui Hachimura?

Hachimura has been dropped in 2.9% of leagues, which brings his overall percentage to 66%.

Here's another case of not understanding why a player is being dropped. He has scored at least 15 points in three straight games. Hachimura has 12 rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block over that span, while playing between 30-37 minutes.

Sure, he's not a high-end fantasy performer, but on points alone, he's a pretty solid fantasy asset. The Lakers are getting a bit healthier, but until LeBron James is actually back on the court, Hachimura is a pretty solid fantasy asset every time out.

Maybe some are treating him as a streaming option, and that's why he's being dropped today. The team's next game is Saturday, so keep an eye on his own percentage and see if it goes back up.

He definitely deserves to be rostered and starting in almost every deeper league right now - if your roster is pretty good and there's a full slate of NBA games, then I could understand sitting him sometimes.

He's not a half-bad streaming option in standard leagues too, so if you have a need at forward, definitely consider him.

His own percentage will likely drop when James and the Lakers are at full health, and then Hachimura's fantasy marks will fluctuate with his play, but he'll probably be just a deep-league asset more often.
