Should You Add Jarace Walker?
Walker has been added in 4.43% of fantasy leagues, bringing his overall mark to 28%.
Walker's best game of the season came on Wednesday, when he posted 20 points, six rebounds, five assists, three steals and a block over 35 minutes. It was the most minutes he's played this season, and first time he started a game.
Overall in four games, he's played 119 minutes. He is shooting just 29.4% from the floor and 28.6% from deep, while making six of his seven free throws. Walker has 44 points, 24 rebounds, 16 assists, four steals and three blocks.
It's not been a great start to the season in terms of his shooting, but he has filled the stat sheet out pretty nicely. Most importantly, he has a pretty good role, and if he keeps starting and logging 30 or more minutes, the opportunity to be a big fantasy asset is there.
He's an OK deep-league fantasy asset for now, but I wouldn't say anyone needs to add him immediately. Walker is really more of a stash player, and someone to utilize more when he heats up as a scorer. At least keep tabs on him, because his role looks good right now.
Should You Add Bilal Coulibaly?
Coulibaly is rostered in 50.29% of leagues after a 3.5% increase today.
He missed the first four games for Washington, but played on Thursday night. Coulibaly posted 16 points, eight rebounds, four assists, three blocks and one steal over 24 minutes.
It was a good start to the season for him, and he'd set career highs in just about all those stats if he were to keep those numbers up. So really, I'm saying to not expect really great fantasy totals like that every night, but as long as he can be pretty productive, there's a chance he sticks in deeper leagues and offers standard league streaming upside.
Even if he cannot keep these kinds of numbers up every game, playing more minutes should allow him to be a pretty good fantasy asset.
I'd get him added in deeper leagues immediately. I think some standard league owners could utilize him as well, but he's not a must-add player in those leagues. He's more worth keeping an eye on, but if he can continue to stuff the stat sheet, there's a chance he's added in a lot of standard leagues - I don't know if he'll get to 100% owned ever.
Should You Add Jeremiah Fears?
Fears is up 3.12% and sits at 21.71% overall now.
Fears has mostly been good in his first four games as a pro. He played 18 minutes in his first game, before playing 28, 26 and 30 minutes over the past three. That's enough time to be a productive fantasy asset, and he's started the last two games, which is a good sign that he could stick as a fantasy asset to utilize.
Over four games, he's posted 53 points, 11 assists, seven rebounds and five steals, while committing nine fouls and turnovers. He's shooting 52.3% overall, while making 1-of-9 3-pointers and 6-of-9 free throws.
He's scored in double figures three times, with a high scoring mark of 21 points in his last outing. Fears only scored two points in the other game, so his own percentage would be far higher if not for that contest.
Rookies can be up-and-down performers early in their first seasons, so it's something to note with Fears. With how he's looked more often than not, I'd say he's worth rostering in a good amount of fantasy leagues.
I'd say he deserves to be rostered in a good amount of deeper leagues already. He doesn't really fill the stat sheet, so unless he's scoring 20+ points a night, I'm not sure how many standard leagues he'll get into - I'd keep an eye on him in case he ever breaks through.
Should You Add Jake LaRavia?
LaRavia is rostered in 13.14% of fantasy leagues after a 2.95% increase today.
He delivered his best showing of the season in his last game on Wednesday. LaRavia went for 27 points, eight rebounds, two assists and one steal and block over 37 minutes. He took advantage of some extra minutes and usage with several Lakers out with injuries.
Over five games so far, LaRavia is averaging 10.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.2 blocks across 28.4 minutes. He's shooting 52.9% overall, 50% from 3-point land and has made half of his free throws.
He's definitely trending up, but he's only scored in double figures twice, recording 14 combined points in the other three games. So he's a bit up and down as a fantasy asset right now, but his minutes and usage have been better over the past couple nights.
With all the injuries the Lakers are dealing with, LaRavia could keep producing in an expanded role, but there's also a chance his role and usage decreases when everyone is back healthy. I think he'll still play a good amount, but he might not be the same fantasy asset.
With all that said, I view him more as a deep-league streaming option right now. He can be added and utilized until the Lakers get healthier, or his usage or production falls off. I don't see him getting into standard leagues, unless several Lakers are out long term.
He's worth adding and utilizing for the next couple games probably, so if you have a roster spot open, definitely consider LaRavia.
Should You Add Luke Kennard?
Kennard is up 2.2%, bringing his overall percentage to 8.57%.
Kennard scored in double figures for the first time on Wednesday, so it's fair to see him on the rise. He's played between 21-30 minutes across the team's first five games, so there's some fantasy value in him for sure.
Kennard is averaging 8.2 points, 2.4 assists, 2.2 rebounds, 0.6 steals and 0.2 blocks over 24.6 minutes a game. He's shooting 51.9% overall, 46.7% from deep and has made 85.7% of his free throws.
He's an OK fantasy asset at this point, but is likely to top out as a deep-league option. Right now, his numbers only warrant deep, deep league ownership, but some owners could benefit from adding and utilizing the 29-year-old.
He's worth tracking to see if he gets hot from the floor after his last showing, but again, I only see him being a worthwhile add in deeper leagues.
Should You Add Santi Aldama?
Aldama is rostered is 78.29% of leagues after a 2.49% increase.
He's been a pretty steady and solid contributor over the first five games for Memphis. Aldama has played between 20-31 minutes.
Aldama is averaging 11 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.8 blocks across 23.6 minutes a game. He's shooting 48% overall, 31.6% from 3-point land and has made just one of his six free throws.
His role is solid, but I think he's a bit overrated as a fantasy asset. He delivered a double-double in his last showing, so it makes sense to add him, but I'd have guessed his own percentage be near 60, not 80.
With more good showings, Aldama could be worth owning in that many leagues, but for now, I'd like to see him deliver again before adding him in more leagues. If he keeps producing well-rounded showings, then he could inch closer to 100% owned.
Should You Add RayJ Dennis?
Dennis is owned in 6% of leagues today - he wasn't owned in many leagues as of October 26.
He's played in the past three Indiana games, as the Pacers deal with a load of injuries. Dennis has logged 85 minutes over that span, tallying 36 points, 16 assists, nine rebounds, three blocks and two steals.
Dennis barely played last season, but with all the injuries Indiana is working through, he's getting a chance early this season, and making the most of it.
However, I'd only want to add and utilize him in some deeper leagues. If he keeps producing and retains a big role once the Pacers get healthier, then he could be added in most deeper leagues, but I just don't see that happening.
Don't write him off completely, but also don't be expecting this kind of production all season long.
