2023 NBA Playoff Predictions: The Phoenix Suns Will Win It All With Kevin Durant!

Matt Brandon Feb 13th 2:16 PM EST.

The NBA Playoffs are right around the corner! It's always exciting to make NBA predictions and speculate on who will win it all. This year, with the addition of Kevin Durant to the Phoenix Suns, many people believe the Suns will rise to the top and be crowned champions despite the fact that they are the current No. 5 seed in the West. After all, the Suns now have the shortest odds to win the West at +245 according to DraftKings Sportsbook. The Denver Nuggets are second with +390 odds. And to win the title, only the Boston Celtics have shorter odds than Phoenix (+300 to +450).

Check out our 2023 NBA Playoff Predictions and learn why we think the Phoenix Suns will win it all after acquiring perhaps the best scorer in the world to couple with Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and Deandre Ayton.

Currently, the Boston Celtics sit atop the Eastern Conference standings, while Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets hold a comfortable lead in the West. Both teams have been impressive thus far but the prospect of Kevin Durant joining the Suns' lineup has only increased the hype surrounding Phoenix. The only team that can arguably compete with Jayson Tatum and the Celtics is the Milwaukee Bucks. Giannis Antetetoukoumpo is simply unstoppable. It's an exciting time for basketball fans, and with how things look, this season could be one of the most unpredictable yet. The Dallas Mavericks have also made a lot of noise after trading for star point guard Kyrie Irving. The No. 4 seed in the West has a shot at challenging Denver and Phoenix once Luka Doncic returns to the court.

Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics have been among the most successful teams in the history of the NBA. They have won 17 championships, the most in the NBA, and are one of the favorites to make it to the playoffs this season. They have a deep roster with All-Stars such as Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Marcus Smart. Boston is currently 41-16 and Tatum has brought his game to a new level. Although they only lead the Bucks by 1.5 games, Tatum. is dropping more than 30 PPG and is showing no signs of slowing down. The Celtics also have one of the best defensive teams in the league. They will obviously make the postseason and will be a very difficult out in the playoffs. We expect them to represent the East in the NBA Finals.

Phoenix Suns

In recent years, the Phoenix Suns have been elite after years of mediocrity. After acquiring four-time scoring champion and future Hall of Famer Kevin Durant, they may have taken a step towards that ever so elusive title. KD joins an already talented roster that includes Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and Deandre Ayton. The Suns are now looking like formidable contenders in the Western Conference and are expected to make a deep playoff run. That said, they will have to try to avoid the Mavericks in the first round, as that is who they would play if the season ended today. Many expect the Suns to challenge for a championship in 2023 with Durant in their lineup. Personally, I believe they'll win it.

The Phoenix Suns are a young and hungry team, and the addition of Kevin Durant could be the final piece of the puzzle for them to make it all the way to the NBA Finals. With the top spot in the Western Conference up for grabs, the Suns have a real chance to make some noise this season. Many NBA bettors thought the Celtics and Bucks were the clear-cut favorites to win the title. However, if the Suns can play at their full potential, they could easily be a major contender in the postseason.

NBA Finals Prediction

The Celtics have been one of the best teams in the league over the past few years, but Phoenix could be just as good with Durant in the lineup. He is a proven winner and has a knack for coming up big in clutch situations. He’s also a great leader, and his presence will provide the Suns with an extra boost of confidence. With Durant on board, the Suns could potentially challenge the Celtics should they meet in the NBA Finals.

It looks like it's going to be an epic showdown between the Phoenix Suns and Boston Celtics in the 2023 NBA Finals. While both teams have the talent and experience to win it all, we believe the Phoenix Suns will be victorious. So if you're looking for an NBA bet, consider backing the Suns to take home the championship trophy.
