Rangers staff anchor Nathan Eovaldi remains a reliable fantasy asset despite recent minor bumps.

Nathan Eovaldi enters the season fully entrenched as the staff anchor for the Rangers, leading a rotation that will lean heavily on his veteran leadership and postseason pedigree. Heading into his mid-30s, Eovaldi has proven he still possesses top-of-the-rotation stuff when healthy, though durability remains the primary factor determining his overall fantasy ceiling.

Our models project Eovaldi to throw around 161 innings with an outstanding 3.52 ERA and a elite 1.07 WHIP. His projected 148 strikeouts demonstrate his steady missed-bat ability, while his elite control should keep his walks low, stabilizing ratios for fantasy managers. Backed by a potent Texas offense, he should have plenty of opportunities to rack up double-digit wins.

Given his current ADP around the eighth or ninth round, Eovaldi represents a highly valuable, high-floor SP2/SP3 for fantasy rosters. While his injury track record warrants carrying some depth behind him, his ability to deliver front-line ratios and strong volume makes him an incredibly safe target at his current draft price.
