Outlook Erick Fedde

Erick Fedde's severe recent struggles make him a clear sit in fantasy lineups ahead of a tough division matchup.

Fedde has been in a terrible rut lately, posting a dismal 11.35 ERA and 2.61 WHIP over his last 14 days. Despite these struggles, he remains locked into the back of the rotation for the second-place White Sox (26-26), who are currently short-handed due to a wave of pitching injuries, including Jordan Hicks on the injured list.

Our models project a 4.50 ERA and 1.38 WHIP for Fedde over the rest of the season, which would be a welcome regression toward his career norms. However, his current walk rate and high hit totals mimic his struggles from 2025 (5.69 ERA) rather than his stellar 2024 breakout, making him a major liability until he shows signs of stabilization.

Fedde is scheduled for just one start this week, a May 28 home matchup against the division-rival Twins. He faces a formidable opponent in Taj Bradley, who boasts a stellar 2.77 ERA, meaning run support will be tough to come by. Our weekly projections expect another high-ratio outing, making Fedde an easy sit.
