Identifying some of the most-dropped fantasy basketball players in the fifth week of the season.
After looking over some fantasy basketball waiver wire options, let's now discuss some more drop candidates.
Here's the last drop story we did here at FantasySP.

Should You Drop Dennis Schroder?
Schroder is down 5.3% and he now is rostered in 74% of leagues.
Schroder has lost his starting role, but he's still played 25-35 minutes over the past four games. He scored in double figures for three of those games, but was held to three points, six assists, two rebounds and a block over 25 minutes in his last game.
For the season, Schroder is averaging 12.3 points, 5.8 assists, 3.6 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 0.3 blocks over 30.2 minutes a night. He's shooting 38.7% overall and is just 31.2% from 3-point land.
While starting, he was a pretty solid fantasy asset. Now that he's coming off the bench, his minutes and usage won't be as consistent, so his fantasy value is going to drop.
He's still capable of big fantasy showings while coming off the bench, so I'm still holding him in deeper leagues. I'm on board with dropping him in a lot of standard leagues right now though.
He's worth keeping an eye on in case he gets back into the starting lineup, but for as long as he's coming off the bench and not delivering consistent results, you can expect his own percentage to slowly keep dropping.
Should You Drop Andre Drummond?
Drummond is another player down 5.3% - he sits at 72% owned.
Drummond was a waiver wire add earlier in the week, but he's being dropped now after providing just three points, eight rebounds and one assist, steal and block over 18 minutes on Thursday. He dealt with foul trouble and ended up fouling out.
He's been on the rise as a double-double threat, and he has been starting and playing plenty of minutes while Joel Embiid is out… again. He had scored in double figures in five straight games, which is when he was first put in the starting lineup.
Drummond has six double-doubles on the season across 14 games played. He's averaging 8.2 points, 9.6 rebounds, 0.9 steals and blocks and 0.7 assists over 23.4 minutes a night.
I look at his last game as an outlier performance. When Embiid is out and Drummond is starting, he's a great deep-league option, and also a very solid standard league threat. I don't like dropping him today, unless there's a can't-miss waiver wire guy out there to replace him with.
Drummond's fantasy value will drop if Embiid ever plays again, but until that time, I'd be happy to roster and utilize Drummond in a ton of fantasy leagues. Scoop him up if he's dropped today in your league.
Should You Drop Devin Vassell?
Vassell is rostered in 89% of leagues. He was closer to 100% at the start of the season.
Vassell has been a steady fantasy asset this season, but he's not producing enough to be owned in as many leagues as he is right now.
In 15 games (all starts), Vassell is averaging 13.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.3 blocks over 33.2 minutes. He's shooting 40.7% overall and is 35.9% from deep.
Most of his averages are down from last season, even though he's averaging over two minutes more per game. His shooting percentages are down a good bit too, so there's room to improve and have more fantasy value.
Right now though, Vassell just isn't doing enough to be rostered in 9/10 fantasy leagues. I'd maybe look into trading him away instead of outright dropping him. He has enough fantasy value to get you a decent return, and probably something better than you'll find on the waiver wire.
Keep holding Vassell if you don't need that roster spot to be great every night. There's a chance he turns things up a notch eventually, so those not scrambling for fantasy help can maybe afford to wait.
He's still a hold in deeper leagues, and is a really nice buy-low trade asset in those leagues. I see him improving as the season moves along, so buy into him before he starts producing more.
Should You Drop Malik Monk?
Monk is down 3.3% and he's now rostered in 57% of leagues.
He's come off the bench in all 13 games he's appeared in for the Kings, so he's naturally gone up and down as a fantasy asset this season. He only had two points, rebounds and assists and one block over 14 minutes in his last contest, so he's being dropped again.
Over 23.7 minutes a night, Monk is averaging 12.5 points, 2.1 assists, 1.7 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 0.5 blocks. He's shooting 45.7% overall and is 44.6% from deep.
He's playing enough to be a decent fantasy asset, but he's just not producing enough. Monk is a big enough name to have some trade value yet, but he'll be a better deep-league trade asset.
Monk isn't worth holding in standard leagues, but don't write him off for good. He's worth holding in deeper leagues, just maybe not worth nightly starts anymore.
Keep tracking him in case his role or usage changes, but for now, I only like Monk in some deeper leagues.
Should You Drop Duncan Robinson?
Robinson is down to 44% owned - he was as high as 53% back on November 18.
Robinson has started all 15 games for the 13-2 Pistons. He's been a pretty steady fantasy asset, so I'm not exactly sure why he is being dropped in some leagues.
Over 32.1 minutes a night, he is averaging 12.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.3 blocks. Robinson is shooting 44.7% overall and he's 41.8% from deep.
Detroit has some injuries, so it's possible Robinson could play less minutes or lose his starting role when the team is at full health, but that hasn't happened yet, so I'm a fan of his from a fantasy perspective.
He's scored in double figures in all but five games, and he's gotten there in six straight contests. He doesn't do much else, but his role and usage are solid enough for deep-league usage.
There's maybe not enough there for standard league ownership and usage, but I think he's a bit underowned right now.
Should You Drop Toumani Camara?
Camara is rostered in 76% of leagues after sitting near 100% at the start of the season.
He hasn't taken a step forward like many expected this season. He's still averaging 12 points, 5 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.5 blocks over 34.6 minutes a night across 15 games (all starts).
Camara is shooting just 39.6% and 30.1% from deep, so if he can improve those, he can up his scoring average and be the fantasy asset many expected him to be in his third NBA season.
He's worth stashing in a lot of standard leagues yet, but like in the case with Vassell, if you need that roster spot to produce more now, then I get having to drop him right now.
Camara needs to be held in deeper leagues for sure, and is another buy-low target in those leagues. I'd say the same thing in deeper leagues, just at a lesser level.
I expect him to up his numbers over time, so hold him if you can. If you can, trade him instead of dropping him, as the return should be better than anything you find on the waiver wire.
