There were eight NBA games on Wednesday night. Let’s take a look at some of the better performing waiver wire options and rookies, as we do every weekday.

Waiver Wire Options

We’ll kick off the conversation by talking about Rui Hachimura. He made 13-of-17 shots and scored 29 points in the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss to the Sacramento Kings. Hachimura, owned in 43% of leagues, also had two rebounds and steals in the game across 33 minutes played.

This was one of Hachimura’s better games of the season, although he didn’t do much other than score. He’s worth an add in deeper leagues for the time being, but I’d need to see a couple more strong showings before considering him in a standard league.

Philadelphia 76ers’ Kelly Oubre Jr., rostered in 82% of leagues, finished the night with 25 points, four rebounds, two steals and one assist and block across 34 minutes off the bench in the team’s loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.

Tyrese Maxey was inactive again, which opened extra minutes and scoring chances for Oubre, who remains a strong streaming option with Maxey and Joel Embiid out. Most nights, he posts strong enough numbers to at least get some consideration for an add in standard leagues.

Atlanta Hawks’ Saddiq Bey, owned in 73% of leagues, totaled 23 points, eight rebounds and one block and steal across 41 minutes in the team’s win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Bey has now scored in double figures in three straight, combining for 63 points over those games. He also fills the stat sheet aside from his scoring most nights, so he’s another guy I’d consider adding in all formats, at least until Trae Young returns.

Orlando Magic’s Jalen Suggs, rostered in 62% of leagues, recorded 19 points, six rebounds, four assists and one steal across 32 minutes in the team’s win over the Washington Wizards.

It was the fifth time Suggs has scored in double figures over that past seven games. Suggs usually adds some other statistics in each game, but he’s simply not averaging enough across the board to own in more standard leagues.

Memphis’ Jake LaRavia, owned in 9% of leagues, had 19 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks across 32 minutes off the bench in the team’s win.

That’s back-to-back double-doubles for LaRavia, who has scored in double figures in four of his seven games back from an injury. I’m surprised his own percentage is still that low. He’s a good option in deeper leagues and dynasties right now, and it might not be long before standard league owners consider him, if he can keep up this level of play.

Memphis’s Vince Williams Jr., rostered in 79% of leagues, finished with 17 points, nine assists, seven rebounds, two steals and one block across 37 minutes.

This is the third straight game Williams has scored in double figures, while also stuffing the stat sheet in each contest. Until his numbers drop, he’s worth streaming in all formats.

Memphis’ Santi Aldama, owned in 41% of leagues, recorded 17 points, seven assists, four rebounds, three blocks and one steal across 35 minutes.

Aldama has also scored in double figures in three straight, while also posting some other good numbers. He’s another possible streaming option in all formats, although I’d think standard leagues have a few better options out there.

Cleveland’s Isaac Okoro, owned in 45% of leagues, finished with 17 points, two rebounds and assists and one steal and block across 35 minutes.

Cleveland was missing a few players, but Okoro has delivered these kinds of numbers on and off all season. In his last five games, he’s averaging 15 points, 2.6 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals and blocks. That’s enough production for deep leagues, but again, I’d think there’s better streaming options out there in standard leagues.

Los Angeles Clippers’ Mason Plumlee, owned in just 8% of leagues, totaled eight points, 11 rebounds and three blocks across 20 minutes off the bench in the team’s win over the Houston Rockets.

When Plumlee can hit 20 minutes, he’s a double-double threat, the only problem is that he doesn’t reach those minutes every night. I’d keep an eye on him, but he’s only worth rostering/playing in the deepest of leagues.

Philadelphia’s Paul Reed, rostered in 57% of leagues, had 17 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and blocks and one steal across 24 minutes.

Reed has now scored in double figures in three of the past four games and four of the past six - in the couple games he didn’t reach double figures, he combined for just five points. Until he can more consistently score in double figures, Reed is only a deep league option in my book.

Atlanta’s Bruno Fernando, owned in 3% of leagues, tallied seven points, 10 rebounds, two assists and steals and one block across 25 minutes off the bench.

He’s been playing around 20 minutes most nights, but hasn’t consistently delivered to be owned in more leagues. Fernando is a player to watch, but until his numbers improve, he shouldn’t be owned outside the deepest of leagues.

Top Rookies

Utah Jazz rookie Brice Sensabaugh, owned in just 2% of leagues, recorded 15 points, 12 rebounds and one assist across 30 minutes in the team’s loss to the Chicago Bulls.

Sensabaugh started with several regular rotation players inactive and did some nice things for the Jazz. He’d gotten anywhere from 12-20 minutes in the six previous games, so it’s not like his playing time will totally dry up, but when the team is at full strength, Sensabaugh likely won’t be playing enough minutes to make a fantasy difference. He could be worth streaming in deeper leagues and dynasties if several players remain out for the team’s next game.

Houston’s Cam Whitmore, now owned in 27% of leagues, finished with 17 points, two rebounds and one assist across 24 minutes off the bench.

It’s the third time in the past four games that Whitmore scored in double figures. He doesn’t always fill up the stat sheet (like Wednesday), so that’s what’s keeping his own percentage somewhat low. I still like the idea of streaming Whitmore for the time being in deeper leagues and dynasties, at least until he cools off a bit.

Portland Trail Blazers’ Duop Reath, rostered in 50% of leagues, went for 16 points, five rebounds and one assist and steal across 31 minutes in the team’s loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

He’s now scored in double figures in four straight games, which coincides with him starting games. Until that ends, Reath is worth streaming in deeper leagues and dynasties. He could even be a streaming option in standard leagues for some.

Golden State Warriors’ Trayce Jackson-Davis, owned in 11% of leagues, stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, six rebounds, four blocks and one steal across 19 minutes in the team’s win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Jackson-Davis got a few blocks on Giannis Antetokounmpo and only missed one of his eight shot attempts to post one of his better games in several weeks. He’s gotten nearly 20 minutes in two straight games, which could mean he’s about to settle into a role at that many minutes. Jackson-Davis is a solid deep league and dynasty option, even though he’s coming off the bench and not even playing half of most games.
