2022 Fantasy Football: Top Rookies To Target On Draft Day

Will Desvallees Sep 6th 3:51 PM EDT. Edited 4:56 PM.

The 2022 NFL Draft was deep at wide receiver but very shallow at running back in terms of potential fantasy football production this coming season. Today, we’ll go through our list of NFL rookies who have the most potential to gain fantasy value as the season progresses.

Matt Ryan, Jameis Winston & Kenny Golladay Among Top Undrafted 2022 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups Before Week 1

Will Desvallees Sep 5th 4:07 PM EDT. Edited 4:07 PM.

As 2022 fantasy football drafts are wrapping up, we are starting to get a sense of the first group of players who will be available to claim from the waiver wire in Week 1. This includes veteran QBs Matt Ryan and Jameis Winston who are both looking for bounce-back seasons in 2022. Likewise, veteran receivers D.J. Chark and Kenny Golladay have a good chance of producing more significant numbers this season than they did over their last few as a result of the lack of depth at receiver for the Giants and the Lions both.

Let’s take a look at the best waiver wire pickups before we kick off the regular season Thursday night.

Top 2022 NFL Season-Long Player Props

Will Desvallees Sep 2nd 3:12 PM EDT. Edited 8:35 PM.

Do you think Aaron Rodgers will have 4,000+ passing yards without Davante Adams in 2022? Will Jonathan Taylor go for at least 1,500+ rushing yards this season? With the NFL season ready to kick off, there are some major season-long betting props for certain players to take advantage of before Week 1 begins. Here are five season-long props for NFL Players we think you should consider.

QB Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers - Over 3950.5 Passing Yards ( -112 , FanDuel)

Despite the downgrade to the Packers’ receiving corps this offseason, Aaron Rodgers is still, well, Aaron Rodgers. His ability to throw the ball accurately and land it to his receivers was not dependent of WR Davante Adams’ abilities as a pass-catcher. Certainly, Adams’ catches everything thrown his way. But a WR is nothing without the QB, not the other way around. Green Bay will still have a decent group of wide receivers including Allen Lazard in addition to rookies Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs. Ultimately, the Packers have enough depth and athleticis among their receivers in 2022 to help Rodgers produce at least 4,000 passing yards this season.

2022 Fantasy Football: Top Second-Round Running Backs

Will Desvallees Aug 31st 1:02 PM EDT. Edited 1:42 PM.

We all know that there is a steep decline at the running back position after Round 2. So, who are the best running backs to target in the second round on draft day? Currently, five running backs are going in the second round of 12-team PPR leagues. If you don’t draft a running back in the first round, you probably shouldn’t exit Round 2 without scooping up one of these tier-two running backs. We rank them not by ADP but by projected fantasy points this season. Let’s dive in.

NFL Week 3 Preseason Fantasy Football Takeaways

Matt Brandon Aug 29th 2:29 PM EDT. Edited 2:49 PM.

In the third week of the NFL Preseason, a few teams actually let their starters log some valuable reps while other teams continued to play it safe and leave their star power on the bench. Week 3 of the preseason was the final opportunity that teams got to evaluate their personnel to cut the roster down to 53 spots by opening day. For players vying for roster spots, this was the final opportunity to shine. For bonafide veterans, this was more about establishing some chemistry. And for some, this was a chance to move up the depth chart and start turning heads. That’s exactly what Houston’s rookie running back, Dameon Pierce, did on the opening drive against the San Francisco 49ers. Let’s dissect each matchup and break down the biggest fantasy football takeaways from Week 3’s preseason action.

2022 Fantasy Football’s Most Polarizing Players

Will Desvallees Aug 29th 11:29 AM EDT. Edited 11:50 AM.

There are so many opinions out there but opinions can become dangerous when you start listening to the wrong ones about fantasy football. There are so many big-name players being talked about by “experts” and some say that player deserves to go in the second round and another “expert” will say that the same player is worthy of being drafted in the fourth round! Certain players are simply more polarizing.

With 2022 fantasy football drafts on the horizon, it’s hard to see through the unpredictability of these polarizing players. Carolina’s Christian McCaffrey and New Orleans’ Michael Thomas have missed the majority of the last two seasons but are still expected to be the top options at their respective positions on their respective teams. McCaffrey is expected to be the second-best player in all of fantasy football! One way to look at these polarizing players is that they are merely high-risk, high-reward assets. So let’s take a look at some of the pros and cons of the most polarizing fantasy football players heading into the 2022 NFL season.

NFL Futures Bets: AFC Conference Championship Odds Tracker

Will Desvallees Aug 25th 2:09 PM EDT. Edited 2:09 PM.

The AFC isn’t as wide open as it once was now that the Buffalo Bills are the clear-cut favorites to represent the conference in Super Bowl 57. The Kansas City Chiefs used to be as good, if not better than the Bills, but they lost Tyreek Hill this offseason, which should significantly dampen Kansas City’s once extremely potent offense. Still, the Chiefs are the second-best team in the conference and should make it to the AFC Conference Championship on the backs of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. Still, it’s hard to envision Josh Allen and Bills Mafia not finally breaking through that glass ceiling and clinching a berth in the Super Bowl. They’ve been so close each of the last few years. 2022 is the season that Buffalo finally gets the job done.

NFL Futures Bets: NFC Conference Champion Odds Tracker

Will Desvallees Aug 24th 1:13 PM EDT. Edited 1:33 PM.

Some of the best NFC teams have bolstered up their rosters this offseason. This includes the Los Angeles Rams and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, whose offseasons only maintained their status as the two teams in the NFC heading into 2022 with the best chances of winning the NFC Conference Championship. After all, these two teams are the last two Super Bowl winners. Now, let’s take a look at why the Los Angeles Rams will ultimately win the NFC title over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Week 2 NFL Preseason: Fantasy Football Takeaways

Will Desvallees Aug 22nd 2:36 PM EDT. Edited 12:09 PM.

In the second week of the NFL Preseason, many teams had a great opportunity to evaluate how some of their backup skill position players look heading into this season. For instance, TE Isaiah Likely is lighting it up for the Ravens this preseason, which could push Baltimore to activate him alongside Mark Andrew in 2022. Gabriel Davis is exceeding expectations in Buffalo. Elsewhere, the New York Giants may have found some depth at receiver after a huge night from Alex Bachman. He had 11 receptions for 122 yards and two touchdowns to help the Giants beat the Bengals last night. Let’s take a look at some potential fantasy takeaways from all the Week 2 Preseason games.

Week 2 NFL Preseason Fantasy Football Takeaways

Chicago Bears at Seattle Seahawks (27-11)

  • Cole Kmet caught two of the three targets he saw, finishing his limited playing time with two receptions for 31 yards. Kmet is a sneaky tight end with top-10 upside due to the lack of weapons at the wide receiver and tight end position in Chicago.
  • Drew Lock’s chances of starting Week 1 as the Seahawks’ signal-caller went up even though he has been on the couch with COVID-19. Geno Smith played poorly and finished with an abysmal 74.31 QB rating. He barely completed 50% of his passes and failed to find the end zone. Smith’s value is plummeting in the wake of his awful performance. The reality is that if you are starting Lock or Smith, your fantasy squad is probably in trouble.
