Outlook Troy Franklin
Sliding Down the Depth Chart and Off the Fantasy Radar
After a step forward in 2025 where he posted 65 receptions for 709 yards and six scores, Troy Franklin enters 2026 fighting for snaps. Denver's wide receiver room now features Jaylen Waddle alongside Courtland Sutton, leaving Franklin operating as a backup slot receiver behind Pat Bryant.
Our projections reflect this diminished role, forecasting 40 catches for 435 yards and five touchdowns (97.0 fantasy points) across 60 targets. Without an immediate path to regular three-wide sets, his week-to-week volume looks too volatile to support standalone fantasy value.
Fantasy drafters have reacted accordingly to his shifting usage. Franklin's draft position plummeted over 120 spots during August, sliding past pick 330 in standard PPR drafts as his roster rate collapsed to 2%. Given our tempered expectations, he is a falling knife to avoid in standard formats.
