Keenan Allen Week 1 Outlook — Veteran Set to Debut in Indianapolis

Despite a late-August arrest, Colts GM Chris Ballard confirmed that Keenan Allen will play in the season opener. The 34-year-old veteran is listed as a starting outside receiver on the depth chart alongside Alec Pierce and slot receiver Josh Downs, looking to quickly establish chemistry with starting quarterback Daniel Jones.

With Pierce and Downs both nursing injuries, Allen could step into immediate target volume. Our models project him for roughly 3.4 receptions and 36 receiving yards on six targets against Baltimore. While currently started in under one percent of leagues, his refined route-running offers deep-league flex appeal if Indy leans on him.

Jacob Saylors In Line for Committee Work in Detroit's High-Scoring Attack

Saylors has earned rotational consideration after leading the NFL with 227 scrimmage yards in the preseason. With Isiah Pacheco recently placed on injured reserve, head coach Dan Campbell indicated the Lions may deploy a committee for the secondary running back role alongside Sione Vaki, slotting Saylors into backup duties behind Jahmyr Gibbs.

Despite his expanded opportunity, Saylors remains primarily a deep-league stash.
