Tampa Bay's lead back Bucky Irving enters his third season positioned atop the depth chart, ahead of Kenneth Gainwell and Sean Tucker. After a dip in efficiency last year to a 3.4-yard rushing average, our models project a heavy bounceback workload. We project him for 227 carries and 40 receptions, solidifying his role as a trusted weekly starter.
An offseason shoulder surgery temporarily sidelined Irving, but recent updates are highly encouraging. General Manager Jason Licht confirmed in late June that the young back is already healthy enough to play if the season started today.
