Josh Downs at Jacksonville — Trailing Game Script Could Spark Slot Volume

Operating as Indianapolis' primary slot receiver alongside veteran Keenan Allen, Josh Downs finds himself at the center of trade speculation ahead of the deadline. Healthy and entrenched in three-receiver sets with Daniel Jones under center, Downs has commanded 12 targets across his last two games, though the offense has struggled during a three-game losing streak.

With the Colts visiting Jacksonville as sizable underdogs, game flow should favor quick passing. Our weekly projection forecasts Downs for roughly 3.7 catches on six targets for 41 yards (9.1 fantasy points). Fantasy managers have grown cautious—his start rate has slid to 24%—making him a matchup-dependent Flex option who needs his first score of 2026 to deliver a breakout.
