Cameron Johnson - Denver Nuggets
Johnson has been dropped in 7.6% of leagues so far today, bringing his overall mark down to 43%.
Johnson has had an injury-riddled season, and just picked up an ankle injury. He's day-to-day, but after the season he's had, it appears fantasy owners have had enough of rostering Johnson and are just deciding to drop him.
He's only played in 37 games this season. Johnson is averaging 11.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.4 blocks over 30.8 minutes a night. Even when healthy, Johnson hasn't made a huge impact in Denver.
In leagues where you cannot stash him on an injured reserve spot, it'd be hard not to drop Johnson. He was just getting back into standard leagues when he got injured, so he's droppable until he's back on the court. It's a bit tougher to let him go in deeper leagues, but those needing fantasy points now, go ahead and drop Johnson so you can get the help you need now.
Keep an eye on him and add/stream him when he returns. At his season averages, he's probably just a deep-league asset until he starts delivering more.
Kyle Kuzma - Milwaukee Bucks
Kuzma is rostered in 52% of leagues after a 5.5% decrease today.
I singled out Kuzma as a nice weekly add yesterday. Then, Giannis Antetokounmpo returned from a multi-week absence and Kuzma didn't log a single minute. That obviously means that he'd be dropped today.
I don't know if it's a permanent thing, or if the Bucks just were experimenting for a single game. If Kuzma continues to not play, his own percentage should fall off rapidly.
Kuzma is definitely one to drop in all standard leagues today. In deeper leagues where you need help right now, then Kuzma is a drop there too.
Keep tabs on him and be ready to add him back if his minutes/production return in games to come, but for now, Kuzma is one to avoid in fantasy.
Jaylon Tyson - Cleveland Cavaliers
Tyson is down 5.2% and now sits at a 55% overall mark.
He is coming off a nine-point performance across 28 minutes. Tyson started that game and also had two assists and a rebound in the contest.
He scored in double figures the three games before that, and had much better production overall. On the season, Tyson is averaging 13.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.4 blocks over 27.6 minutes a night.
It's odd that Tyson hasn't delivered more of late, as Donovan Mitchell, Max Strus and Dean Wade are all out with injuries. Throw in James Harden playing through an injury and now would be a time for Tyson to step up.
If he's not taking advantage of things now, his production when the team is healthier is likely to be even lower, which means he's a drop candidate today.
I'd be dropping Tyson in standard leagues, but doing my best to hold him in deeper leagues. I think he does enough for ownership in those leagues yet.
Keep an eye on Tyson, as he could go into a hot stretch at any point, as he's done several times this year. For now though, I'd only be rostering/utilizing him in deeper leagues.
Jordan Poole - New Orleans Pelicans
Poole is rostered in 42% of leagues overall after being let go in 3.6% of leagues.
Poole was on the trade block, but ended up staying with New Orleans. His role has diminished and he's logged just 10 and 15 minutes over the past two contests.
Poole has 14 points, five rebounds, four assists and three blocks in those two games combined. He's averaging 13.9 points, 3.1 assists, 2.1 rebounds, 0.6 steals and 0.4 blocks over 24.5 minutes a game this season, which are some of his lowest marks since his first two years in the league.
New Orleans was without Zion Williamson last game, and Poole didn't deliver much. That means he should be dropped in a lot of leagues.
Poole should already have been let go in standard leagues, and he's now a drop candidate in deeper leagues. There's a chance he bounces back eventually, but it might take multiple injuries to get him enough minutes to be a decent fantasy asset.
