Nick Chubb’s legendary run-blocking efficiency has naturally declined as he navigates the later stages of his career. Following a catastrophic knee injury in 2023, he split time in 2024 before appearing in 16 games for Houston in 2025, where he handled 128 rushing attempts at a respectable 4.1 yards per carry.

His current fantasy footprint reflects this transition, with his rostered rate hovering around 33% and fantasy managers starting him in just 7% of leagues. Without a guaranteed lead role, Chubb has shifted from a locked-in early-round anchor to a depth option.

For the upcoming 2026 campaign, our projections view the 30-year-old veteran as a bench stash. While he still possesses elite vision and instincts, our models suggest a lack of passing-game utility and heavy committee usage caps his weekly ceiling.
