Game News
Before the 2021 season, Derrick Henry tweeted that he wanted to buy some artwork from fans. From his iconic stiff-arm, to a piece featuring him and Kobe Bryant, the masterpieces he received were amazing 🎨 @DanGrazianoESPN pic.twitter.com/Fly4Z37Aty
"We're starting to build some momentum now, just gotta keep it going." With three straight wins, Ryan Tannehill's @Titans are feeling confident heading into their bye week. 🎤 @Amanda_Balionis pic.twitter.com/fAEXFOjFej
The Washington Commanders [1-3] host the Tennessee Titans [2-2] Sunday from FedEx Field. The Commanders are looking for their first win since Week 1, while the Titans enter Sunday’s game winners of their past two games.
Tennessee enters the game as favorites, although that spread tightened recently.
Both teams head into Week 5, battling numerous injuries. The Commanders and Titans will be without their first-round wide receivers as Jahan Dotson and Treylon Burks are both out with injuries
Denico Autry is a PROBLEM 😈 📺: Watch #TENvsWAS on @NFLonCBS pic.twitter.com/kmvyZvKBQz
That is a heckuva catch by Nick Westbrook-Ikhine. 60-yd gain. To have to turn around and relocate the ball like that is not easy.
The #Titans own a 14-5 record against NFC opponents since Mike Vrabel was hired as head coach in 2018.
#Titans used a nickel package with Caleb Farley at LCB and Kristian Fulton at RCB with Roger McCreary in the slot. Snap counts so far: Fulton 12 McCreary 12 Terrance Mitchell 6 Caleb Farley 6
Kevin Byard said the #Titans had a players only meeting after the Bills loss. Wanted to make sure they showcase the reserve to bounce back from a tough loss. Byard said this three game win streak is exactly what they planned. pic.twitter.com/r19jdqhU05
Rashad Weaver dropped into coverage and got a hand on that pass to force it incomplete on 4th & 4. #Titans offense takes over.

Four more #Titans -- Fitzpatrick, Okuayinonu, Monty Rice, Le'Raven Clark -- made 2022 debuts on Sunday, meaning TN has now used 64 players thru 5 weeks.

When the Washington Commanders selected wide receiver Dyami Brown in the third round of the 2021 NFL draft, many believed he would end up being one of the steals of the draft.
In his first NFL season, Brown appeared in 15 games, catching 12 passes for 165 yards for an average of 13.8 yards per reception. However, in most weeks, Brown was ineffective. And this was on a team that had little opposite of star wide receiver Terry McLaurin in 2021.
Instead of counting on Brown to improve in 2022, the Commanders chose Penn State wide receiver Jahan Dotson in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft. The early indications are that Dotson is a future star, with four touchdowns in his first four NFL games
Can the Washington Commanders [1-3] snap a three-game winning streak Sunday against the Tennessee Titans [2-2]?
It’s been a frustrating start to Ron Rivera’s third season in charge of Washington. Instead of taking an expected leap in performance, the Commanders are going in the opposite direction. In losses to the Lions and Eagles in Weeks 2 and 3, Washington was outscored 46-0 in the first half combined of both games.
Quarterback Carson Wentz has struggled badly in division losses to Philadelphia and Dallas, but he’s far from the only one. The Commanders’ offensive line has dealt with injuries and inconsistency over the first quarter of the season

Carson Wentz’s pass intended for J.D. McKissic was intercepted by David Long Jr. sealing a 21-17 loss to the Tennessee Titans at FedEx Field in Landover.

The Commanders had started their final possession on their own 11-yard line with 4:46 remaining. Brian Robinson ran for two yards for a first down at the Washington 22. Robinson again ran for two yards to the 33 for a second first down
Trai Turner ... William Jackson ... Andrew Norwell next?
I know where Dyami Brown is, in case anyone in Detroit was wondering. Catching a 75-yard TD.
They missed Jahan Dotson most on that last sequence. He excels in the red zone.
Montez Sweat having a huge day so far. #understatement
Benjamin St-Juste is back in at corner. William Jackson III is on the sideline. No helmet on.
Thoughts before re-watching. 🈠Good enough to win on D today. 🈠Bad â°ï¸ management both halves. 🈠Why no fade to Turner at goal line? 🈠Sweat - tremulous early; big day. 🈠Dyami breakout. TDs of 75 & 30. 🈠Felt like Cole Holcomb was strong. 1-4 is not okay in year 3.
Jonathan Allen: "It's frustrating because we need to win, but at the end of the day, I'm playing for my family. These guys are playing for their families and their kids. So we're gonna show up every day and we're gonna work our balls off."
Rivera is challenging the ruling on the Cam Sims no-catch. Thoughts?
Injury update: RB Jonathan Williams - knee - out
Washington DE Chase Young is out here doing ladder drills and other work with trainers. I think this is the first time he's done that pre-game.
You saw Darrick Forrest in coverage on Tannehill's deep pass. This is what Ron Rivera said of his young DBs last week: "There's going to be a point where you're not going to be able to hold them back just because they'll take a next step."
Joey Slye good from 50. We'll ignore what happened on 3rd and long. 7-3, Titans.

Continued improvement from Jamin Davis in coverage. Like we saw last week when walked out over the slot, much tighter to the receiver, taking away path inside, in position to contest throw outside. pic.twitter.com/0CBQ6Hn78N
Take two with inactive's guesses, as I was reminded that Milo Eifler is on IR. Silly rabbit. We know Cosmi, Dotson, Butler are out. Need 4 more after elevating two from the PS. Sam Howell would be one. David Mayo likely out since they brought up two LB. That leaves ...
RT Sam Cosmi is out, Saahdiq Charles is starting at RG and the Commanders did not elevate another tackle from the P-squad. Which means ... Charles will likely have a dual role, as RG & backup OT. Guessing Chris Paul would take his spot at G if Charles had to move outside.
Rachad Wildgoose with the coverage on that second-down throw.
#Commanders offense goes three and out again and Tress Way only gets 34 yards on his punt. Titans taking over at midfield. Bad spot to put your defense in.
